A vision of the evolution of smartphones with replaceable Moto Mods modules for a significant “pumping” of the functionality of a mobile gadget. Their connection is implemented through the contact pad on the back of the aluminium case of the device. The modules allow you to turn the Motorola Moto Z 32GB Dual into a mini music centre (JBL speaker), a projector (up to 70" diagonal image formation) or a cool camera (Hasselblad camera with a 12-megapixel sensor and 10x optical zoom). The smartphone itself deserves no less interest — this is a real flagship of 2016 with a powerful hardware (top-end Snapdragon 820 chip and 4/32 GB of memory) and a large AMOLED screen with QuadHD resolution (2560x1440 pixels). With all this, the device impresses with the minimum thickness of the case, the value o...f which is only 5.2 mm. In addition to standard control methods through buttons and touch input, the smartphone responds to commands with gestures, for which motion sensors are built into its “chin”.

A new and very worthy flagship of an old trusted brand

I had a Motorola RokR E1, and then its successor RokR E2. The coolest devices for those times. The first of them was distinguished by incredibly high-quality sound, and the second was a real microPC running Linux (it could even be accessed terminally from a PC). But Motorola also left the market and after E2, I bought a Samsung Galaxy Ace, which I used until recently. But it's time to return to the Moto religion. The comeback was a success, everything is like the good old days and even though the new models of the brand are made by the Chinese from Lenovo, the spirit of Motorola is alive and that’s good.
Large and incredibly colorful 5.5-inch screen. It's not just good, it's amazing thanks to SuperAMOLED technology. Bright and rich colors, excellent sun resistance and incredible resolution of 2560 by 1440 pixels. The fingerprint scanner works megafast. Motion sensors that allow you to turn on the screen without touching it, or a flashlight that turns on with a double shake are very convenient. A high-quality 13-megapixel camera that takes good pictures during the day, at dusk and even in low night light. Equipped with a powerful 4-core processor with a good video core. Applications “fly”, any games also run without problems. I don’t play games myself, but my son primarily appreciated the phone precisely for this factor)) As a dialer, it’s good, the speaker is loud, the signal reception is stable even in difficult conditions.
Expensive, but worth the money. USB Type C for communication and connecting headphones is, of course, cool, but there is no cable included and headphones with a Type C connector are not at all easy to find. For now you have to use an adapter and this is “not comme il faut”. Well, as always on flagship smartphones there is a problem with the battery, which is not bad, but I would like more.
The camera is great but the phone is not so great.

To make full use of it, you need to replace the firmware, but not with a motorcycle, since there are many shortcomings with the phone’s memory,,,,, but this voids the warranty... so you buy a phone with only 2.6 GB of memory and that’s it, I don’t recommend it.... generally Moto
Speed
RAM, the problem is in the firmware, there is no way to transfer applications to flash memory... honestly not worth buying...
 i recommend it don't buy
great model, love it

I recommend.
i'm happy with the phone. Before this there were Sony Xperia Z3+ and X Performance (no more Sony). Fast, not buggy (probably due to pure Android), the battery is only 2630, but strangely enough it lasts for a day (I think it’s a good optimization). Yes, I was pleased with the turbo charging - in about 30 minutes from 0 to 100%. The display is super (Sonya is out), the camera with 13MP f1.8 is much better than the 21MP f2.0 Sony. I'm shocked. The set includes a black back cover and a factory plastic bumper (nice) + a JBL speaker module (promotion) as a gift. It is not really thin with such characteristics.
Headphones via adapter. No radio module.
use Motorola Moto Z 32GB month or more i recommend it should buy

Smartphone constructor

Let's say right away that Moto Z, released in 2016, is able to surprise even now. How often have you seen smartphones with a built-in projector, a 10x optical zoom camera, or a built-in audio speaker?

Moto module

So, the main feature of the smartphone is its ability to customize, like a character from an RPG game. There is a special connector on the bottom of the back of the smartphone, to which Moto Mods modules are attached, which expand the functionality of the smartphone. It can be a reinforced battery, an armor-piercing case, a giant almost reflex camera, or the same projector with a speaker. In 2017, when smartphones were competing to see who could be thinner, being able to customize a smartphone was a breath of fresh air. Moreover, the connection system turned out to be extremely successful, which is why the replacement of the module took a few seconds. However now it will not be so easy to find Moto Mods in official stores. But the secondary market is full of them.

High-quality AMOLED screen with a resolution of 2K

If we take the modularity out of the equation, then we get a solid flagship of 2016, which looks quite modern in 2019. It has an excellent AMOLED screen with a diagonal of 5.5" and a resolution of 2K. Plus a full functional package, including fast charging, a fingerprint scanner, USB-C, an NFC, a well-thought-out gesture control system and an OTG connection that allows you to directly plug external USB devices such as a USB flash drive, keyboard or printer into your smartphone. The only thing missing is the good old mini-jack for connecting regular headphones.

Memorable design

The appearance of Moto Z also looks quite modern. Firstly, the thickness of 5.2 mm allows it to remain one of the thinnest smartphones on the market. Secondly, the corrugated metal back stands out great against the background of boring and the same type of covers that are used in almost every modern smartphone. The side frames of the Moto Z are also quite thin. In a bad way, only the lower part of the smartphone with the Home button stands out, which looks obscenely large by modern standards.

Perhaps the main weakness of the Moto Z is its Snapdragon 820 processor. In 2016 it was a flagship processor, but since then the manufacturing process has jumped ahead and now its power is comparable to entry-level and mid-range chips.
