The Italian furniture company Foppapedretti began its activities with the production of wooden toys for children. It was founded in 1945 by a young entrepreneur, Foppa Pedretti, who named the company after himself. Initially, it was only a small family production, where the founder’s brother and sister, Tito and Letizia, also worked. Wooden horses, doll furniture, breakfast baskets - all these products were in good demand, which made it possible not only to stay afloat, but also to constantly expand production.

However, in the 50s of the last century, the toy market began to change rapidly. The emergence of various types of bright, more convenient and practical plastics in the production contributed to the gradual and almost complete displacement of wood as the main material for toys. But Foppa did not lose heart and decided to start producing children's furniture. First, the first high chairs and cribs appeared, then the production of school furniture and home furniture was established. In 1974, the company also successfully entered the garden furniture market.

And in 1980, a significant event occurred - the first Foppapedretti clothes dryers and ironing boards appeared. The company decided to create not just functional, but also very attractive external solutions, based on the same wood. The Asso ironing board and Gulliver clothes dryer, introduced in those years, quickly became real bestsellers and continue to be produced to this day. Also, over the past decades, many other models have been introduced, differing in functionality and design.

Although Foppapedretti uses a variety of materials, wood has been and remains the basis for its products. What was once a small family production has now become a large joint stock company, owning a number of subsidiaries. In addition to the main brand, Foppapedretti has the rights to a number of other brands - Lazzari, FP Young, TATI and Reguitti, which also specialize in the production of goods for children and for the home.
