How to build a home audio system
For listening to mp3, such a system is unnecessary,
a simple player is enough

Listen. Wherever you are, but in a big city, one way or another you hear music. The neighbors are having fun, the TV is on, something is heard from the open windows or the headphones of a passerby. Phone ringtone, taxi driver's preferences, cheap tambourines on the windowsill... How does it all sound? Don't we deserve better? It's time for us to go on a musical diet - if we talk in the same sense about food, then we don't eat spoiled food!

It is a completely different matter a set consisting of separate components - acoustic systems, an amplifier, signal sources. First of all, it is good because it can be formed gradually and thoughtfully, apparatus to apparatus, like a construction from cubes, when an unsuitable module can be replaced or supplemented if necessary. The purchase takes place as if "in installments", and this also has its advantages. As the stereo system develops, the musical tastes of its owners are formed, often it all turns into a passionate hobby!

To put together a home audio system, we first need to select the components. The choice must be approached with a maximum understanding of what each element should be - this is the only way you can create a really high-quality system that will be able to reproduce your favorite songs the way you would like to hear them. And, quite likely, only after that you will hear them for the first time for real. Here are the answers to questions that may arise when creating a truly individual stereo system:

one
How to choose a signal source?
2
Amplifier for acoustic system
3
Choosing shelf speakers
4
Choosing stationary acoustics
5
How to choose the right subwoofer?
6
Home Audio Cables

We have assembled the audio system. What's next?

For those who are just at the beginning of the journey, we can give some advice.

How to assemble a stereo system for home
Good stationary acoustics allows you to completely
repeat almost any audio picture
  • Find like-minded people. Not just friends or neighbors - the Internet is here to help! – but it is important to be able to come and compare. And there are many ways and options for this - at least the same demo rooms at stores or companies selling equipment.
  • Try to form a music library only from high-quality records - a simple player is enough to listen to mp3. Your audio system deserves the best!
  • Learn to read technical specifications - it's not so difficult, especially if not everything is forgotten from school physics.
  • Make sure your stereo system components are compatible. If everything suits you in terms of characteristics and signal levels, look carefully at the dimensions and design of the device you are purchasing - how does it fit with the rest and with the interior? This is no less important.
  • Ease of management is also not the last parameter. If you have to operate with two remote controls and still approach one of the blocks for direct intervention several times - will it be a pleasure? By the way, it is possible that it will deliver ...

It is also important to prepare the room itself. This is about a third of the sound quality of the new system. A booming room with the wrong resonances can ruin any set of the finest audio equipment. In the simplest case, you will need to remove or neutralize hollow furniture that can give unpleasant overtones, perhaps a carpet is appropriate - quite fleecy, on most of the floor and, possibly, one more - on the opposite wall from the speakers. Pay attention to the windows - they should not participate in the concert! The same applies to large light and rigid objects that stand freely on surfaces, such as shelves - sources of overtones are hidden here.

And… enjoy listening!
