Equipped with an economical 4-stroke internal combustion engine AL-KO Tech 140 with a volume of 140 cm³ and a power of 2.5 hp.
This power plant is made using OHV (overhead valve) technology, which guarantees complete combustion of the fuel (reduced exhaust toxicity) and stable operation in a wide variety of conditions. The AL-KO Easy 4.20 PS lawn mower can process a 42 cm wide strip in one pass and is equipped with a capacious 50 L soft grass collector. In addition to working in the grass catcher, mowing mode is supported with ejection to the back or to the side. To change the cutting height from 25 to 70 mm, just change the position of the synchronous 7-stage switch. The deck of the machine is made of durable structural steel and is reliably protected from corrosion by powder coating. Large and wide wheels significantly reduce the pressure on the lawn and leave no marks.

Basic model in the AL-KO range
Among the AL-KO petrol lawn mowers, this model is considered one of the simplest. It is not the largest (working width 42 cm) and far from the most powerful (2.5 hp with a working volume of 140 cm³). But even such characteristics are quite enough to take care of the emerald lawn in the backyard and regularly mow lawn grass without much labor. The mower cuts the grass with a rotating paddle knife and collects the green mass in a bag, and the user only needs to push the machine (the manufacturer recommends moving at a speed of about 2.5 km / h) and empty the soft 50-liter container in a timely manner, throwing plant residues into a composter, wheelbarrow or pit.

The body is made of durable steel with a powder coating that protects the metal from corrosion. The lawn mower has large wheels (the front wheels have a diameter of 175 mm, and the rear ones have a diameter of 200 mm) on ball bearings. Therefore, the equipment rolls easily even on not very flat surfaces and effortlessly overcomes small obstacles. The wheels are slightly recessed into the body. They do not protrude beyond the widest part of the deck. This design allows you to mow the grass close to the curbs or fences. The cutting height is adjusted synchronously (simultaneously on all wheels) using a lever. There are 7 positions for height adjustment (from 30mm to 75mm).

It eliminates minor flaws that were inherent in the previous generation, such as insufficiently high-quality plastic or weak wheel axles. This makes 2020 and later mowers more reliable and durable. But it should be borne in mind that AL-KO garden equipment of the Easy series is intended exclusively for domestic use (this can be seen even at its low price). You should not use it in public utilities or to care for huge lawns in parks or sports fields. The AL-KO Easy 4.20 PS lawn mower is designed for lawns up to 800 m2.
