How to choose a gaming headphoneWe understand the differences between regular and gaming headphones, tell you how to approach the choice of a headset wisely

The best sound quality in TWS with noise reduction, but there are questions about the controls
    24 June 2021
This is one of the two headphone models where you can distinctly hear the difference between lossy and lossless codecs. I compared them with the Noble Falcon 2 Pro; the Falcons sound slightly better, but they lack noise cancellation and multipoint. They fit in my ears significantly better than AirPods Pro, however, they are not a replacement for regular AirPods. It takes quite a bit of time to properly position these headphones in your ears, so pulling them out for a quick conversation like AirPods isn't really feasible, although pairing is quick. I use them with a Pixel 4xl. For some reason, FastPair didn't work for me, although it worked fine on the demo unit at Dr.Head. It pairs with my smartphone via AptxHD. The sound on lossless recordings is simply superb. Now for the downsides... The noise cancellation in this model is very subtle and restrained. It doesn't reach the level of Sony at all, let alone Bose, but it's quite sufficient to listen to even quiet music on a plane, Sapsan, or metro. In transparency mode, there is a delay. It feels like around 40-60ms, and it takes about 1-2 minutes to adjust after turning it on. There are no delays with video and games. There are a couple of annoying software and firmware bugs: you can activate noise cancellation and transparency simultaneously (see also the downsides). The proximity sensor triggers from very far away, even when they are not worn, which sometimes leads to autoplay triggers. And very rarely (1 out of 10-12 times), they start to stutter and click during music playback. The only fix is to return the headphones to the case and take them out again. Rarely, there are clicks when switching tracks, but it's not critical.
    - The best quality sound currently available in TWS with noise cancellation
    - Deep and natural bass, good mids, and excellent treble. Wide and deep soundstage
    - Noise cancellation and transparency mode
    - Well-implemented multipoint. Switches correctly and predictably
    - Supports the entire aptX codec range
    - Hybrid driver system
    - Google FastPair support
    - Ability to connect to any analog sound source
    - Reliable connection with the smartphone
    - Excellent microphones. Both you and your conversation partners can hear perfectly in any noisy environment. The only problem for them is the wind. The microphones handle it poorly.
    - The headphones can be used individually
    - Huge volume reserve. In a noisy environment with noise cancellation on, 70% volume is sufficient. In a quiet environment without noise cancellation, 50% is enough
    - Fast charging. For both the headphones and the case + wireless charging support for the case
    * There are minor glitches in the software (I hope they will fix them with firmware updates)
    * There is no volume control feature (only possible via smartphone or assistant)
    * Transparency mode cannot be activated without the software. A smartphone is always required for this
    * The adaptive noise canceling mode does not work very well. Separate adjustments for what to let through and what to suppress would be better in my opinion
    * The app (B&W Headphones program) on the smartphone does not automatically recognize them as connected. After they start working normally, to change settings in the app you have to tap on the connection, and only then does the program recognize that they are connected. At this point, if something is playing, the sound starts to stutter for a few seconds.
