I decided to pontanitsya and bought a watch in a titanium case and with a titanium bracelet. Bought and the first feeling I experienced was disappointment. In appearance, titanium is just an ordinary metal, and until you read the small inscription Titanium on the dial, you will never guess that the case here is not simple, steel, but so cool and fancy. Later, already in the process of operation, I realized what the main feature of titanium is and my next watch will probably also be in a case made of this material. The main advantages of titanium are not at all "cool" appearance or particularly high mechanical strength. Firstly, titanium is twice as light as steel, so even a massive titanium case is lighter than a conventional steel one, and secondly, titanium has a very high corrosion resistance, and if the case and bracelet of this watch are buried in the ground and archaeologists find it in a couple of thousand years, then all they will need to restore the metal to its original appearance is just brushing off the dust. Thanks to the combination of polished and brushed titanium, the watch looks attractive. They fit nicely on the hand, everything is small and feels moderate. The bracelet has a secure, but easily unfastened clasp and can be easily adjusted to fit any hand. One of the important features of this model, because of which I bought it, is the electroluminescent backlight. It starts with the corresponding button and works for about 2 seconds, turning off regardless of whether the button is pressed or not. And they have a strong mineral glass. The backlight works over the entire area of the dial, which is good, but it has a very low brightness, which makes you look closely and lines strain your eyesight. Titanium case and bracelet scratches quickly. Scratches are small and invisible at first glance, but polished parts lose their mirror shine because of them. |
