Silence, softness, braking not for aggressive driving |
I can't say anything about wear and tear since I haven't ridden it much yet. But judging by how good the other features are, I think there won't be any problems with this either. The tire is expensive, but it fully justifies all the money invested in it. It has an attractive appearance. There were no problems with balancing. The car started to brake significantly faster with it, both on dry and wet asphalt. I can't say the exact braking distance, I didn't measure it. But definitely shorter than other tires. What I also really liked was the noise level. More precisely, almost the complete absence of noise at any speed. The price is a bit high though. But it's worth it! ![]() |
I've been using ContiPremiumContact 5, already clocked 30 thousand, and before that, I used Nokian. I can say that the tires grip the road excellently, even when it’s really wet. I especially liked that the tires are very quiet and perform well on any surface. I drive an Audi, and I think a good car deserves the best tires. Excellent grip, the road is well felt even at high speed. Quiet and soft, but I'm afraid that because of this, wear might be faster, although so far everything is fine. ![]() |

I put them on and immediately drove over 1000 km on roads that felt like they’d been bombed with mines.
The trunk was fully loaded with stuff, and inside, there were 4 adults and a 5-year-old child.
Having read about the weak sidewalls, I thought I'd have to buy a new set soon. No matter how careful I was, I hit a lot of potholes and thought I’d leave all the tires on the road. Every time I checked, I thought this would be the last trip for these tires. To my surprise, the tires endured all the tests without any issues. Not a single bulge or any other damage, just amazing.
The only thing is that when fully loaded, maneuverability decreases at speeds over 65-70 km/h. It's dangerous to steer sharply as the soft sidewalls affect stability and agility, making it hard to dodge potholes or other obstacles.
However, the suspension in the Gentra is from the Lacetti, and it's naturally very soft. So, these two factors seem to combine, making it hard to tell what plays a bigger role. Perhaps, on a car with a stiff suspension, this wouldn’t be as noticeable.
When there are 1 or 2 people and no cargo, everything feels normal, and these issues don't arise. Overall, I’m very pleased, as I mostly drive alone or with one other person and without cargo, so it suits me well. Very, very quiet, brakes superbly, saved me more than once.
