They perfectly withstand high pressures (in some models — up to 30 bar even higher) and water hammers. These heaters are recommended for use in central heating systems of high-rise buildings (especially those above 9 floors). And the efficiency of such models is quite high.
The disadvantage of this design is traditional — a high price. Thus, so-called pseudo-bimetallic (semi-bimetallic) radiators can be found on the market — only vertical channels connecting the upper and lower pipes are made of steel. It allows you to reduce the price, but it negatively affects reliability — in terms of operational features, such devices are closer to aluminium ones (see the relevant paragraph). So if the selected model from this category has a suspiciously low cost compared to other products made from the same materials, it is worth clarifying whether it belongs to pseudo-bimetallic.
