The Chinese company Edifier has relatively recently appeared on the world market of audio products, but has already managed to win the recognition of users with good quality and reasonable cost. The R1700BT stereo system sounds loud, bright, expressive, more attractive in appearance, and all this for some $ 120.
The speakers have a feature — a 10-degree tilt angle, so that the sound is directed more accentuated. Vinyl MDF finish for walnut wood in two colours – red and brown — allows you to most accurately fit the acoustics into the interior. The speakers are protected by neat black fabric grills, but to be fair, the system looks much more spectacular without them.
The R1700BT operates in the frequency range of 60 – 20000 Hz, which is provided by dome 0.75-inch Eagle Eye tweeters and inch woofers. High-frequency speakers delight with the accurate transmission of the quietest and shortest sounds, and the phase inverter port helps to amplify the low component. Maximum clarity and realistic sound is achieved thanks to the DSP processor and dynamic range control (DRC).
If desired, you can adjust the bass and treble from the remote control or manually – the regulators are located on the side panel of the active speaker. The R2700 was endowed with a DSP processor and a good power reserve (128 watts), and this can no longer fail to please for such a price tag. Each speaker has its own separate class D amplifier, and the presence of a midrange makes it possible to avoid such disadvantages of two-band systems as insufficient saturation, poor elaboration and timbre distortion in the upper midrange region. The phase-invertor port significantly improves the picture of the bass, making them deeper. Somewhat confusing is the tweeter, which gives out distortions that give the upper frequencies a specific colour. And here the function of separate adjustment of the treble and woofer comes to the rescue.
The settings are distributed between the remote control and the panel on the side wall: the timbre is regulated only from the active speaker, switching inputs and switching on/off Mute mode is carried out only from the remote control, and only the volume can be adjusted both remotely and "locally".

The German company HECO places the main emphasis on sound quality in the production of acoustic systems, so Ascada 2.0 computer speakers are good for watching movies and listening to music. However, they are not cheap – $ 800, let's see for what advantages.
The body of the system has a slightly beveled shape and is made of MDF in a piano lacquer finish. Each column weighs 5.5 kg with dimensions of 184x280x284 mm. The design impresses with the neat execution of details, the perfect glossy coating in black or white. Thin fabric grills are made to match the body, but without them the system looks much more spectacular.
The two-banders are equipped with a 25 mm aluminium tweeter, a 125 mm midrange/woofer emitter with a long-fibre cellulose diaphragm, a digital amplifier and a DSP processor. All together, this provides an accentuated and large–scale sound in the frequency range of 32 – 40,000 Hz with a total power of 70 watts. There is a slight "sweetening" of the tops, coupled with the tactful "pumping" of the bass — however, in general, everything is very harmonious and cheerful.
The frequency and volume control knobs are located on the side of the active speaker housing, but you can also control the functions from the remote control.
