Use comparison table with station characteristics to get acquainted with the operating parameters of all devices presented in the overview. Other models of similar equipment designed for water supply to a private house or cottage can be found in the catalog of pumping stations.

Price, cast iron body.
Mediocre tank protection against corrosion.

Metabo HWW 3300/25 G is a fairly simple and inexpensive (price a little over $150) pumping station for facilities with moderate water consumption. The capacity, reaching 3300 l / h at maximum, is enough to serve a house with 3 - 4 water points or a plot with 1 - 2 sprinklers for watering plants. This pump can also be used for pumping groundwater, water intake from reservoirs and other similar tasks, but for this you need to install a filter in front of the pump (it is not included in the kit, it is purchased separately).

The centrifugal pump installed at the station is not self-priming. Therefore, you need to ensure that the system is filled with water. The device is serviced quite simply, and even your elderly relatives will not have problems when starting the station for the first time or preparing it for frost. From the automation on the pump - only the necessary minimum: a thermal switch to protect the engine from overheating and a pressure switch that maintains pressure in the 24-liter receiver.

The Metabo HWW 3300/25 G station is perfect for a summer cottage or a small rural house where a family of two or three people lives, tending a small garden or garden. The device is quite strong, reliable and durable (the body is made of cast iron, the impeller is made of wear-resistant plastic). Complaints are found only on the tank, which, for some users, rusts earlier than one might expect.

Among the Metabo pumping stations you can find other models that differ in power and performance.

Price, self-priming pump, large pre-filter.
Not for potable water, plastic inlet and outlet threads.

In the Gardena line of pumping stations, the Classic 3000 model is one of the “weakest”. Its capacity is only 2800 l/h (sufficient for 2-3 taps or one watering hose). But it is inexpensive (only a little more than $ 150) and does not create a large load on the network (engine power 600 W) - almost perfect for a gardening cooperative or a rural outback.

The device is easy to operate. The capacitor motor does not require maintenance. The thermal relay automatically turns off the engine when it overheats. The self-priming pump allows you not to monitor the filling of the system before turning on the device. An efficient pre-filter cleans the liquid of fine particles that may be contained in well or rainwater. All maintenance during the operation of this station is reduced to the timely draining of water from the pump before the onset of cold weather, if the equipment is installed outdoors or in an unheated room.

The disadvantage of the pump is the plastic threads at the inlet and outlet. Although they are made of high-quality plastic that can last forever, but if you do the installation carelessly, overtightening the fasteners, you can damage the threads.

The manufacturer does not recommend using the GARDENA Classic 3000 Pump Station for drinking water supply. It is intended for industrial water, which is taken from wells, wells, storage tanks or reservoirs and is used for irrigation, washing a car or filling toilet bowls. It is expedient to use this station for water supply of a country house or a garden site.

Cast iron body, quiet operation, continuous operation.
Not detected.

The Pedrollo JSWm 2CX/24 CL pumping station is quite demanding on water quality. In order for it to work well and serve for a long time, there should be no impurities and contaminants in the water. Therefore, if your well or well does not provide the cleanest water, then before installing the equipment, you will need to purchase a high-quality filter and install it at the entrance to the station. On the other hand, Pedrollo pumps have a patented open impeller design that ensures minimal fluid interaction with the material from which the equipment is made. Therefore, the water pumped by this station remains clean and fresh, because neither oil, nor rust, nor particles of other substances can get into it.

The station is designed for indoor installation. It works very quietly and with virtually no vibration, so its presence in the house will not be noticeable. Perdollo equipment stands out for its quality and durability. The pump body is made of hardened cast iron with corrosion protection, the receiver is made of good powder-coated steel, the impeller is made of quality technopolymer suitable for pumping drinking water. The engine turns on smoothly (there will be no drawdowns and power surges at the moments of switching on and off the motor) and can work in a long mode without overheating and stops.

Structurally, the station consists of a Pedrollo JSWm 2C pump and a 24-liter receiver. In other versions, the same equipment is available with hydraulic accumulators of 50, 80 or 100 liters. Versions with larger receivers are worth buying if you want the pump motor to turn on less often, or if you want to always have a small supply of water.

Self-priming pump, large pre-filter, stainless steel impeller, quiet operation.
Not for drinking water, expensive parts.

The AL-KO HW 4500 FCS Comfort pumping station can be used to supply water to a small house or to increase the liquid pressure in the system. It has a capacity of 4500 l / h, which is enough to service 4 - 5 points of parsing at the same time. But the manufacturer indicates that this model of equipment is not recommended for use for supplying drinking water. It is more “sharpened” for pumping water, although clean, but having small inclusions (up to 0.2 mm in size). For this purpose, the station is equipped with a large pre-filter that allows you to pump rainwater or water from the pool without fear of damaging the equipment.

The device "out of the box" is completely ready for installation and launch. Since the station is self-priming, just pour clean water into the pump and connect the fittings - and you can start. During operation, the electronics monitors the operation of the equipment and, if something goes wrong, turns it off (the thermal relay turns off the pump for 15-20 minutes in case of overheating, and the dry-running protection system cuts off the power no later than 90 seconds after a malfunction is detected in the supply pipeline). The station works quite quietly (81 dB, soundproofing is not required) and practically vibration-free.

This line of AL-KO pumping stations(which also includes almost identical models with a capacity of 4000 l / h and 6000 l / h) is considered good and quite reliable. The pumps have durable stainless steel impellers, the tanks are made of high-quality metal, the electronics work smoothly, and even the plastic housing perfectly withstands shock and frost. But spare parts for AL-KO stations are quite expensive, and, if something happens, you will have to fork out for parts.

Small size, self-priming pump, cooled by pumped water, quiet operation.
Price, small volume of accumulator.

The key advantages of the Grundfos MQ3-45 pump are its compactness and quiet operation. The manufacturer managed to achieve small sizes by installing a small hydraulic accumulator (with a volume of only 1 liter, that is, it is, in fact, just an expansion tank). Therefore, when estimating your expenses for organizing water supply, it is worth adding to the price of the station itself (already quite high) the cost of a hydraulic accumulator with a volume of 75 - 100 liters, necessary for its operation.

The pump is fully equipped with automation, which ensures reliable and safe operation of the equipment. The station has thermal protection and protection against dry running. The engine turns on very smoothly and does not overload the network at the time of starting. The motor is cooled by pumped water. Thus, the station can even be placed in a non-ventilated pit or underground, and it will work there without overheating. The pump is self-priming, so there should be no problems connecting or turning on after a long period of inactivity.

The disadvantage of the Grundfos station is its "capriciousness". It is sensitive to the quality of the current (in a dacha cooperative, the voltage can “jump”, and therefore you will have to connect the pump through a stabilizer with the appropriate power). No less "finicky" device and the quality of water. There should not be any inclusions in the liquid, therefore, grids, filters and check valves recommended by the manufacturer must be installed at the inlet to the system.

Grundfos pumping stations work great if installed according to the instructions in compliance with all rules and regulations. The quietness of the equipment and the reliable operation of automation will make the presence of the pump in your home almost invisible.
