The comparison table will help compare the characteristics and prices of the monitors included in the review for working with photos, videos and graphics. More models for design and graphics with different screen sizes are collected in the corresponding section of the general catalog.

High-quality IPS-matrix, excellent price-quality ratio, monitor versatility, built-in speakers.
Limited connectivity options, stand not height adjustable.

The Viewsonic VX3211mhd-2K is an interesting multimedia monitor that gives you a little bit of everything. Thanks to a fairly fast matrix with a response time of 3 ms and a refresh rate of 75 Hz, it is quite suitable for the role of a gaming monitor. A fairly wide coverage of the sRGB and Adobe RGB color space will appeal to novice photographers, designers and video editors. Together with belonging to a rather modest brand, this allows us to keep the price at an attractive $400 level for a 32-inch panel.

The model uses an IPS-panel with a diameter of 32 inches with a resolution of WQHD (2560 × 1440 pixels) and an aspect ratio of 16:9. Perhaps this is the main plus of the model, since it is extremely difficult to find an IPS monitor with the same ratio of screen diagonal, resolution and price. And even if it works out, there will always be some pitfalls. At the same time, the matrix is pseudo-10-bit and is capable of reproducing up to 1.07 billion color shades and belongs to the Flicker-Free type.

The monitor is made in a rather strict classic frame design. Tasteful, but no frills. A stylish branched stand, inherited from the Viewsonic XG3202-C gaming monitor, gives a certain color to the appearance. Unfortunately, the stand's flexibility is limited to only a slight tilt angle. Adjusting the monitor height or putting it in portrait mode will not work. Rather, it will work, but for this you will have to use a VESA mount.

The compromise nature of the monitor is most evident in the connectivity options. It provides only one output for HDMI, VGA and Display Port, and the USB hub was cut down for the sake of price. But there is an extremely unpretentious stereo system with two speakers with a power of 2.5 watts. To work with sound, there is a 3.5 mm output and input.

10-bit matrix, good color gamut, TÜV Rheinland certified, additional gaming features, built-in speakers.
The stand is only tilt adjustable.

The thin bezel 31.5-inch monitor is positioned as a safe working solution. It implements proprietary Eye Care technology that eliminates backlight flicker (Flicker-free) and filters blue light (Low Blue Light). Asus VP32AQ is eye-safe with TÜV Rheinland certification.

The model is suitable not only for typical office tasks, but also for working with graphics. First of all, this is due to the 10-bit matrix and good sRGB with 100% space coverage of this color model. Accordingly, the user has the right to expect realistic, deep colors with detailed color reproduction, which is important when creating and / or color grading photos and videos.

The Asus VP32AQ is based on an IPS-matrix with Quad HD resolution, which provides wide viewing angles and decent detail (0.27 mm pixel size, as on 24-inch FullHD monitors). HDR support is also announced, but a peak brightness of 350 cd / m² is unlikely to reveal the full potential of the corresponding content.

The panel is characterized by a slightly increased refresh rate (75 Hz) and a small response lag (5 ms). In addition, FreeSync and G-Sync Compatible synchronization technologies have been implemented specifically for gamers to ensure smooth video sequences and eliminate gaps in signal transmission, respectively, from AMD and NVIDIA video cards. And gamers have access to game functions within the framework of GamePlus proprietary development: a sight, an FPS counter and a timer.

The monitor is equipped with three connectors - DisplayPort v 1.2 and HDMI 1.4, as well as a mini-Jack output for connecting headphones. A pair of built-in speakers of 2 W each will also allow you to conduct video conferences or listen to podcasts.

The disadvantages of the model include non-ergonomic stands. She has only one "degree of freedom" - the tilt of the screen. Otherwise, the Asus VP32AQ is a noteworthy "workhorse" with a large display and a reasonable price tag.

10-bit matrix, color gamut, factory color calibration, USB C with DisplayPort ALT Mode, Smart Focus, adaptive backlight, HDR.
Stand implementation.

The BenQ EW3270U is an interesting 32-inch monitor that is part of the unusual line of BenQ Video Enjoyment Monitors (i.e. monitors "for pleasure"). This family is very diverse and includes models with a diagonal of 24 to 25 inches with a wide variety of functionality. The hero of today's review is the only representative of this series, which combines a 32-inch diagonal with 4K resolution.

The monitor matrix is classified as VA and provides support for 10-bit color per channel without the use of FRC. The manufacturer relies on HDR support and a wide color gamut (95% DCI-P3) with high-quality factory color settings. The sRGB mode is especially well calibrated, which allows you to work with graphics and color right out of the box. To avoid compromises with the matrix, the manufacturer decided to save on some minor things. For example, the functionality of the stand has been reduced to a minimum (only the tilt is adjustable). And you can't call it too reliable. The USB hub was removed to save money. A pair of built-in speakers here is as simple as possible and does not pretend to be feats. But there is a VESA wall mount and a USB C port with DisplayPort ALT Mode for easy connection of a monitor to a laptop.

Compared to other inexpensive monitors BenQ EW3270U stands out due to a couple of unusual hardware and software features. In Smart Focus mode, you can highlight the desired area of the screen to focus on content and turn off distracting backgrounds. The monitor also has a simple built-in upscaler that artificially increases the pixel density of the image so that the low-resolution picture looks sharper. It works more interesting than a simple sharpening adjustment, but it is very far from upscaling in modern TVs. Oh yes, the BenQ EW3270U also has an ambient light sensor that adjusts the backlight of the monitor to the natural light of the room in order to reduce eye strain as much as possible.

Height and tilt adjustable stand, portrait mode, 10-bit matrix, curved display, excellent ergonomics, Picture-in-Picture + Picture-by-Picture modes.
The slow matrix is not very suitable for games.

In the current realities, when the introduction of new technologies (curved matrices, high resolution, Freesync 2) has gradually settled down, it turned out that a large and high-quality 4K monitor does not have to cost like a gaming computer. This thesis is easily confirmed by the universal and inexpensive curved 32-inch Dell S3221QS monitor, which impresses with a natural image (thanks to the 10-bit matrix), HDR support, and excellent ergonomics. Add in natural color reproduction (99% sRGB coverage and 90% DCI P3 coverage) and you have an interesting entry-level option for graphics and photography.

Now about the certificate. The monitor stand allows you to adjust the height and tilt of the display, and at the software level, it supports Picture-in-Picture and Picture-by-Picture modes. In the first case, the monitor can be divided into 2 working areas for different programs - for example, a text editor and a browser with an open wiki page. In the second mode, you can connect several signal sources to the monitor and visually separate them on the screen, as if they were two separate monitors. Given that the Dell S3221QS has a curved screen (radius of curvature 1800), at times you feel like the captain of a ship sitting behind a huge dashboard. Whatever you say, Dell knows a lot about working tools.

As for games, the existing VA matrix demonstrates a good response speed (4 ms) and supports the AMD FreeSync feature, which is mandatory for gaming monitors, which helps to eliminate the ladder effect. The only drawback is that the refresh rate here is only 60 Hz, and at 120 or 144 Hz, as in most modern displays for gamers. And the matrix itself is not particularly fast. However, no one at Dell talked about games. And in general, cheap 4K matrices with a high refresh rate are a rarity. At least for now.

10-bit matrix, excellent color gamut, ergonomic stand, built-in speakers, Picture by Picture mode, USB 3.0 hub.
No significant deficiencies were identified.

The Iiyama brand monitor received a large 32-inch screen, which is suitable for displaying a large amount of information at once. And thanks to the Picture by Picture mode, there is even the possibility of displaying pictures from two sources at once.

Despite the large size, Iiyama ProLite XB3288UHSU-B1 is ready to boast of thoughtful ergonomics. The stand allows you to tilt, rotate and change the height of the display. And if necessary, you can switch the screen to portrait mode. Also, the monitor has got two USB ports for connecting peripherals and built-in speakers (2 x 3 W).

The VA-matrix with a high resolution of 3840x2160 pixels is responsible for the image quality of the model. It has a static contrast ratio increased to 3000:1, a standard margin of brightness (300 cd / m²) and acceptable (as for a monitor) viewing angles.

An important advantage is the excellent color depth: a 10-bit matrix displays over a billion different shades, which is important for professional work with graphics. The color gamut is also up to the mark, because the coverage of 95% of the NTSC space is declared, which is another confirmation of the high-quality color reproduction of the monitor.

The backlight of the screen does not flicker, and the amount of blue light is specially reduced to minimize eye fatigue.

The monitor has basic gaming capabilities, especially a low refresh rate of 60 Hz. But you can count on a fast response (3 ms) and a relatively smooth video sequence in tandem with AMD video cards (there is FreeSync support). Yes, and the main scope of Iiyama ProLite XB3288UHSU-B1 is working with graphics.
