First of all, my good friend decided to interrupt Windows and recommend that you buy the Crucial BX500 SSD itself. The computer was running smoothly for a month. After that, I know how to scold those who make the computer even more blatant. Well, I thought that I had accumulated a computer virus and I would quickly run into this problem. This happened before reinstalling Windows, but the computer still behaves the same after reinstalling Windows. But what you can do is that the SSD passes all tests with a bang, both MHDD and Victoria and a test from a different utility from Micron (I don’t remember what it’s called). I just thought that the guarantee of this device will last for 36 months, and why not give it to the service and give it away. This SSD went to Kiev to the official representative. After which it turned to me with the message: PRACTICE WITHOUT DRUG. I've been working with computers for over 20 years now. I promptly gave a friend a different SSD, which has no problems. I still don’t know what to do with the Crucial BX500. I'm sure this is just a one-off, otherwise I won't be able to buy an SSD. Nothing happened. The BX500 SSD released under Micron Technology's sub-brand Crucial is aimed at undemanding users who plan to upgrade their hard drive in a PC or laptop, but don't want to spend too much. The BX500 is made in a 2.5-inch SATA 3 form factor, and it is based on 3D NAND TLC memory chips, which have recently successfully settled in the low-cost sector.
High line speed
Despite the low-cost, according to the manufacturer, the emphasis in the production of the drive was placed on speed. So, according to the passport, the “straightforward” write and read speed is not at all budgetary 500 and 540 MB / s, while the popular Crystal Disk Info benchmark gives 499 and 560 MB / s.
Three years warranty
Naturally, with the official price of $ 30, it was impossible to do without tightened belts. In the case of the BX500, the bottleneck is the low-cost single-core SM2258XT controller without support for buffer RAM, which affects the write speed. When copying numerous files of different sizes, the disc recording performance can drop noticeably and fluctuate between 125 – 366 Mb / s.
The BX500 comes with a three-year warranty, during which 40 TB of information can be written to the disc, after which the official warranty expires. At the end of 2018, these are not the most impressive numbers, as many manufacturers now provide a stock of 70-80 TB with the same three-year warranty.
