But it turns out that smart people have long come up with a solution to this problem. When I first watched videos of Dimplex electric fireplaces, I was a little stunned. The beauty is incredible, in some places even better than any real fireplace. It's not cheap, but it's worth it. Well, you need to remember that for apartment buildings an electric fireplace is the only option, there are simply no others.

Of course, real fire is simply unrealistic to repeat. Although, with sufficiently serious resources, this can also be done, remember modern cinema, which in some places consists of computer graphics a little less than completely. But in such fireplaces, a simpler projection electromechanical principle works. It is unpretentious, but effective and completely suits me. And the logs smoldering with the fire of LED lamps look generally masterpiece. In general, if you do not peer into the so-called fire intently, then the imitation is obtained by 9 out of 10 points. It is also important that this is not just an optical illusion, but also a full-fledged fan heater, the power of which reaches two kilowatts. A thermostat is provided to control the temperature. Well, there is also a remote control, where without it in modern household appliances.

Not all parameters can be adjusted using the remote control. Despite the promised noiselessness, the sound from the fan heater is still there, albeit quiet.

Not cheap, but high-quality imitation of a real fireplace

How was it before? If you want a fireplace - build a real hearth, lay a chimney, stock up on firewood. In general, arranging a fireplace has always been not only an expensive pleasure, but also quite troublesome. Moreover, this applied to both construction and the use of a fireplace in everyday life. Starting a fire, tending it, cleaning and removing the ashes, constantly checking the chimney - all this is manual work that takes time. Weigh all the pros and cons, I decided that you can get by with an imitation of a fireplace. Dimplex is one of the best manufacturers of such systems and what I saw on the demo videos I liked.

The most convincing imitation of a fireplace. It works according to the electromechanical principle and if you look closely, then, of course, it differs from the real flame. But they do not buy such fireplaces in order to expose imitations and look for flaws. So the burning effect in this model is good in its own way, and the smoldering of logs looks even better than in reality. The fireplace is also useful in that, in addition to decoration, it can play the role of a 2 kW heater-fan heater and an air purifier. The strength of the effects of burning and smoldering, as well as heating, can be controlled from a special deushki. Fan heater is very quiet

The cost of a fireplace is deceptive. 13000 is worth only the fireplace itself, and it seems that this is a large part of the amount that will be spent. But it still needs to be beautifully designed, and the branded portal, which my wife and I liked, costs almost 14,000 more (California model). In principle, it was possible to find a craftsman who would decorate the fireplace with a home-made portal and, probably, it would be cheaper, but the company portal fits perfectly and it’s hard to imagine something more successful.
