I live on the outskirts of the city, in the so-called "private sector" and, frankly, we have a problem with roads and sidewalks. Therefore, returning home from work in the evening with dry weather can still be called relatively safe, but after rain or winter, problems begin, because street lighting is almost completely absent. The lantern helps a lot to get around the local "ocean" puddles or find the only path cleared in the snowdrifts. Without him, it would be quite sad. The lantern has two main advantages. The first is the size and design of the case. The flashlight is very small (size 60x20 mm) and weighs less than 50g with battery. It's extremely comfortable to wear all the time. The problem of "where to put it" is simply not there. The size allows it to fit comfortably in absolutely any pocket of a shirt, trousers, jacket. The weight is so small that the pocket does not retract. At the same time, the body is made of high-quality anodized aluminum, it is durable and does not suffer even if the flashlight is in the same pocket as the keys. True, I would not advise constantly wearing it with keys, anodizing will still suffer and the appearance will deteriorate over time. The second main advantage is the power of light, which he is capable of giving. Three modes are switched by turning the lamp head. The first one, the maximum one, I call a "spotlight", it is very good for looking into the distance, at 60-80 meters. But for work it is better to use two more calm "medium" and "minimum". They are enough to illuminate the street, and they work, unlike the maximum, for a long time. Gets hot in max mode. The mechanism for switching on the flashlight by turning the head at first seemed inconvenient and required the use of two hands, but in two or three weeks I got used to it and coped with it with one hand, without any problems. Recommended CR123A batteries are expensive these days. |
