Top-of-the-line tyres with a sporty character, combining masterfully honed handling at high speeds and the proper level of driving comfort in one bottle. The preference in the model was given to an asymmetric tread pattern with a Dual Tread compound. The inner tread area is made of a rubber compound with a high content of silica to enhance wet traction, the outer part is characterized by a compound of increased hardness, which allows the tyre to more effectively resist deformation due to lateral accelerations.
In addition, the outer sidewalls are reinforced with aramid fibres. Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 225/45 R17 91Y demonstrates excellent cornering stability, incl. when laying dashing turns at high speeds. In the center of the tyre tread is placed a longitudinal rib of a very rigid design. Such a constructive know-how guarantees excellent directional stability when driving at any speed and in any weather of the warm season. Unique Active Cornergrip technology is responsible for uniform pressure distribution over the entire plane of the contact patch of rubber with the roadway. Tyre noise during rolling is also reduced by Goodyear's proprietary development - Pitching Sequence technology.

Eagle F1 Asymmetric summer tyres are designed to replace the popular Eagle F1 GSD3 tyres. The Eagle F1 Asymmetric features reinforced sidewalls and provides more traction than before. During the development, Active Cornergrip Technology was used. A key technological improvement that was used in the creation of Asymmetric is the inclusion of a reinforcing component in one side of the tyre. This technology will allow the tyre to create more reliable road contact across the entire width of the tread and, therefore, provide better cornering grip. By changing the tyre track, the weight of the car is better distributed: it shifts to the outside of the tyre, and the grip on the outside of the tread increases, while the grip on the inside decreases. Goodyear called this technology the Active Cornergrip Technolog and reports that its use results in reduced deflection during cornering.
