Classic cylindrical electric storage water heater from the Gorenje TGR Standard series. It has an increased capacity (100 L), designed for vertical wall mounting. It is positioned as a product of the middle price category, designed to organize a hot water supply system in a private house or city apartment, able to meet the needs of a small family of up to 4 people. Due to the significant useful volume, it can work on several points of water analysis at once (kitchen, bathroom, etc.).
The Gorenje TGR 100 N water heater is equipped with a durable metal inner tank made of high-quality cold-rolled sheet steel. The surface in contact with hot water has a special heat-resistant enamel coating. Additional electrochemical protection against the corrosion process is carried out using a replaceable sacrificial magnesium anode. The heating temperature is controlled by a simple and reliable mechanical thermostat; a thermomechanical indicator-thermometer is provided in the upper part of the body to control the degree of heating. A traditional submersible heating element with a power of 2000 W in a durable copper sheath is used as a power element. To minimize heat losses through the wall of the apparatus, there is high-quality polyurethane foam insulation with an average thickness of 17 mm.

For a family of 3, you need at least an 80 liter storage water heater. Well, I have already decided not to trifle and took a 100-liter model. I didn't think about choosing a brand for a long time. I met Gorenje about 13 years ago, a friend recommended their gas stove to me. Since then, we have had a washing machine from this company, as well as their microwave and humidifier. But, the very first purchase, that gas stove, works flawlessly and still even looks like new. This is a really big storage boiler, delivering up to about 85 liters of really hot water. On the last 10 liters, the temperature, of course, drops, because they are already immediately obtained by a mixture with the incoming cold water. The temperature can reach 75 degrees and then you can get about 160-190 liters of mixed 40-degree water (depending on the cold temperature). But we rarely turn it on to the maximum, most often the ECO mode is set on the mechanical thermostat, approximately corresponding to a temperature of 55 degrees. Thus, heat losses are reduced and scale formation is reduced. By the way, there is only one heater here, two kilowatts, but in a copper sheath. The steel tank has a decent wall thickness, protection with a special dispersed enamel and an oversized magnesium anode. There is an official two-year warranty. The actual volume of the tank indicated in the manual is not 100 liters, but 96. A trifle like, but unpleasant. The first month the water heater worked silently, but then some slight hissing appeared, and now it is well audible. I think it's a matter of scum. There is only one and powerful heating element here, so its surface is slowly starting to grow. Warming up from a completely cold state is long. Until 55, he should work 2.5 hours, and up to 75, all four. |
