Gaming mouse, positioned by the manufacturer in the middle price range. The asymmetric body profile of this "rodent" is mainly designed for right-handers. The manipulator received a high-quality sensor based on Pixart PMW3310 optics. The case itself is made of durable plastic, but the sides are equipped with rubber inserts, making the grip of the hand more reliable and controlled. The manipulator has 6 buttons, a scroll wheel is additionally installed. Button switches are of high quality, the working life of each is about 20 million clicks. The movement of the buttons is accompanied by a pleasant tactile response. There is a backlight consisting of 3 zones: a scroll wheel, a resolution switch button and a logo. The backlight gradient changes according to the selected sensor resolution mode.... The maximum resolution is 3200 dpi, and the resolution change button is 4-position: 400/800/1600/3200 dpi. Although the manipulator does not have its own memory, the selected resolution and backlight gradient are saved. Note that this model does not have the ability to reassign buttons and create macros. Thanks to Teflon feet, the manipulator will easily slide on the surface of literally any rug.

Along the trodden path

The shape of the HyperX Pulsefire FPS, Kingston's first foray into the mouse market, is reminiscent of the super-popular Razer DeathAdder that many gaming peripherals look up to. But you can’t call it a 100% clone either: the hump is smaller, the curves along the gods are smoother. That is, it should appeal primarily to those who are suitable for the large size (12+ cm in length) of the "foremother" DeathAdder, but its overly convex shape does not satisfy.

For the sake of practicality

The upper part of the HyperX Pulsefire FPS case is made of semi-gloss plastic: it is less grippy than a soft touch, but it does not peel off over time. The sidewalls are made of textured rubber to increase tenacity. On the bottom there are two large, not originally polished Teflon legs. If you are using a hard plastic mouse pad, it will take some time for the surfaces to get used to each other.

Without whims

Inside the HyperX Pulsefire FPS is the time-tested Pixart PMW3310 optical sensor with a resolution of 400 to 3200 DPI (the higher, the faster the cursor moves), which is switched by a separate button on the case. Two more buttons are on the right, that is, the mouse is asymmetric, purely for the right hand. Additional software for fine tuning is not provided. Theoretically, this sensor can fail only at a mouse movement speed of over 4 m/s, which is rarely developed even by professional cybersportsmen, and then only on specific surfaces (glossy, multi-coloured).

Purchase for many years

Due to its average weight (95 g), Kingston HyperX Pulsefire FPS can be called a universal gaming mouse, which is equally well suited for shooters (usually using heavier mice), and for MOBA and RTS strategies (preferably light mice). And durable Omron microswitches for 20 million clicks under a pair of main keys promise a long and carefree life for the mouse.
