Kingston A400 SA400S37/960G is assembled from a 4-bit 3D TLC NAND flash memory array, the available Phison PS3111-S11 solution is used as a control controller. To keep up with the times in 2020, Kingston engineers equipped the device with a small 32 MB DRAM buffer, which helps it keep speed at an acceptable level when writing large amounts of data, whether it be gaming distributions, a collection of favorite 4K movies, work projects in conditional Pro Tools, etc.
To further improve efficiency, about 6% of the total drive capacity was allocated for the SLC cache. Evolution of Kingston
Ever since the Kingston A400 hit the market in 2017, it hasn't dropped out of the sales charts for a single day. Even when the prices of fast M.2 SSDs dropped noticeably. Phison PS3111-S11 controller
