Great castle

I didn’t buy a lock for myself before, as there were thoughts that anyway, anyone can be hacked and it’s better not to leave the bike unattended at all. But still, sometimes you need to drop into the store for literally 5 minutes, and you can’t go to all stores with a bicycle, so it was decided to take the lock anyway. I cook a little in the bike topic and I heard that U-locks, in principle, have always been the most reliable, at least price-quality, there are of course segment ones for $ 100, but my bike costs 200 and here common sense wins. The first thing I looked at was the brand, in principle, in Ukraine, of the quality ones, these are OnGuard and ABUS, but the last one is a bit overpriced like some kind of apple, so the choice fell on OnGuard. Of course, it was possible to save money and watch XLC, BBB or Green Cycle, but I decided to buy it once and forget it.
The second criterion was the dimensions of the bracket, I took more with the calculation that, in case something happens, I should also fasten my wife instead of my own, I checked it already - that's enough. The core of the lock is hidden under a rain curtain, the lock itself closes smoothly without jerks, there were 4 ordinary keys and one with backlight in the kit, but it is huge and not convenient at all, and you can add and forget that small one on the main bunch of keys. The only negative of course is the weight, they always have to pay for reliability and quality. The kit included fastening the lock to the frame, but I carry mine in a backpack, on a bike I like minimalism so that nothing superfluous at all. It is not very noticeable in a backpack, the lock weighed itself - 1050 grams. So far so good, I recommend it.
