Reliable mid-range pump with the added bonus of cooling the motor from the pumped fluid. Well suited for installation at home in the heating system, but it would be nice to install a water filter at the entrance. It is very easy to connect to the mains, and in general, installing the pump in the heating system did not take much time. Usually you have to tinker with circulation pumps until you connect them normally.
There are three speeds. I rarely use the maximum, more and more on the average. The pump motor is cooled by the fluid it pumps. That is, there is no risk, then during prolonged operation the engine will overheat and break. The main thing is that there are no solid particles in the water, otherwise it may become clogged. Works in the heating system, until it had to be repaired. It works a little noisy, it buzzes noticeably at maximum speed. But, as I said, it is not so often necessary to use it.
Cooling the engine with liquid is both a plus and a minus. If the water is clean, then everything is fine, but if it is with sand or lime, then there may be problems. |
I purchased this pump on the persistent recommendation of the master who was installing the solid-fired boiler. I was a little embarrassed by the too low price, but still decided to take a chance and purchased this particular model.
All in all, I think it's a good choice. The price is pleasant, at first it even alerted me, but it turned out that the quality is not bad at least. I hope it will serve me long enough (in principle, there is nothing special to break there - cast iron + stainless steel, except perhaps the motor itself). I think it makes no sense to buy more expensive models, since the pump device is extremely simple, and overpaying for a brand is simply stupid. I liked the fact that the pump is very compact, there were no problems with installation. There was some strange noise when I turned it on for the first time, but it stopped after a few minutes and did not occur again. Apparently, its power is enough to circulate water through a fairly long heating system. The manufacturer has provided three high-speed modes of operation, while my pump works in the second mode, which means that its potential is even higher.
Energy consumption had practically no effect on the payment for electricity. If the pump itself works silently, then you can constantly hear how water circulates in the pipes. I'm not sure if the pump itself is to blame, but it is sometimes annoying, especially at night. |
