Cheap but not cheerful

The Stanley SSC22 chain saw is considered inexpensive (because this type of equipment rarely costs less than $150). But that doesn't mean she's bad. In terms of power (2200 W) and depth of cut (125 mm), it is not inferior to most other portable circular saws designed for sawing metal blanks, ceramics and stone.

Advantages and disadvantages

The design of the device is classic: a stamped steel frame, on which a saw head and a vice are installed, in which the workpiece can be clamped. Swivel vise with marked scale allows you to make cuts at an angle of up to 45 °. There are no complaints about the build quality of the tool, despite the "low-cost" cutting machine.

The regular cutting disc that comes with the saw machine is not of high quality, so it is only suitable for making rough cuts. The owners of this saw recommend immediately buying some good abrasive wheels so as not to spoil the workpiece.

Household grade saw

Saws in this class, such as the Stanley SSC22 or the similarly priced Sturm CF7324, are designed for use in home workshops or small industries. With their help, you can cut metal for the construction of a fence and gates, shelving in the garage and similar tasks. But if you plan to use a chain saw a lot and often, then it is better to buy something more expensive, like DeWALT or Makita.
