According to the design of the STIHL FS 45 lawn mowers, it can be seen that this model is not intended for housing and communal services workers who process large areas of lush thickets, but for owners of small plots (up to 10 acres) with good lawns. The drive from the 750 watt motor to the cutting system is via a flexible shaft. Therefore, the tool will not “pull” the knife necessary for cutting a shrub or hogweed. Only trimmer heads designed for cutting fresh grass can be installed on this brushcutter (the manufacturer recommends those spools that are designed for a fishing line with a diameter of 2 mm).

Ergonomic Secrets

Thanks to the curved stem, the trimmer is perfect for working in narrow areas and in places with difficult access: under bushes and trees, in flowerbeds and between rows. The device is designed in such a way that the left hand rests on the loop-shaped handle during operation, and the right hand (under which all the buttons and controls are located) rests on the bar. The possibility of attaching a belt is provided, but it is not included in the kit. Despite the need to keep the tool “on weight”, working with this brushcutter is not at all tiring, because it weighs only 4.1 kg. The manufacturer managed to achieve such a low weight due to a small gas tank (full refueling is enough for only 40-45 minutes of operation).

No less important is the fact that there are service centers serving equipment of this brand throughout the country, and spare parts and accessories for mowers can be bought at reasonable prices.
