Head restraints for car seats
Head fixators
— the head restraint is a device that additionally holds the head of the child in the seat in place. We emphasize that this is not just a headrest with side protrusions — this is a separate accessory used in addition to the headrest.Reliable fixation of the head is extremely important for the safety of the baby, especially in the first months of life. And given the state of east european roads and shaking while driving, this moment is of particular importance. So a head brace can be a very useful addition to a car seat; also note that it can also perform the function of a pillow, providing additional comfort during sleep. But the specific design of such an accessory may be different. So, some fixators are thick and soft bandages that are put on the baby's head and hold it tightly in the headrest; they perfectly protect against lateral shocks, but rather weakly keep the head from falling forward. Another option is a tightly stretched band between the sides of the headrest, pressing the head in front; such a design, on the contrary, does not allow the head to lean forward, but almost does not keep it from tilting to the side (the latter, however, can be compensated by a properly selected width of the head restraint).
