The battery has a capacity of 4 Ah (not included), which is enough for 20-25 minutes of operation. It takes about 90 minutes to charge, so we recommend that you always have a spare. The main advantage of this model is the presence of a brushless motor. The presence of electronics instead of carbon brushes increased the service life of the engine, as well as its efficiency. Brushless technology allows you to accelerate the chain up to 20 m/ s, so that thick logs are cut easier and faster (most similar models have a chain speed of 12 – 13 m/s). Compared to collector motors, vibration is significantly reduced. The manufacturer has provided for the presence of electronic motor protection, which turns off the device when overloaded.

The device operates simultaneously from two batteries, each with a capacity of 3 Ah (not included). The amount of charge can always be checked thanks to the electronic indicator on the case. Fully charged batteries last for 40 minutes of operation.

You can tighten the chain using the regulator on the housing without an additional screwdriver and wrench. And the flap and chain brake will protect the operator during the reverse impact (in case of collision with metal objects). The only downside is expensive components that fail more often than others, such as bearings and gearboxes.

This model from Bosch will be an excellent helper in the garden, suitable for clearing debris and felling small trees. The saw works quietly and starts up a second after switching on, even in the cold. The SDS system will allow you to unscrew and change the tyre with the chain without an additional tool, as well as to tighten or loosen the chain to the desired indicator. The chain speed is only 8 m/s, so it will cut thick logs (over 250 mm) a little longer than its competitors.

The device is powered by a 2.6 Ah battery, which is enough for 20 minutes of work or for 100 cuts of a beam with a diameter of 10x10 cm. The battery reaches 80% of the charge in 65 minutes, and up to 100% is charged in 95 minutes. It is noteworthy that this battery is also suitable for the rest of Bosch battery technology, for example, for lawn mowers or reciprocating saws. However, its cost is quite large, and in different stores it is from 30 to 50% of the total cost of the saw. Fortunately, most stores supply a battery complete with this model. There is a battery charge indicator next to the handle. The neck of the oil tank is conveniently located on top of the device body, so that oil does not leak out when the saw is idle for a long time. Some users note that at the first "run-in" the oil is not supplied to the tyre, which is why the chain is dry. However, at the first start, it is enough to manually lubricate the chain and the oil pump will start to supply oil automatically. The "German" costs a lot of money, but it will pay off at the first job.

The Swedish representative of battery technology is equipped with a brushless motor, the wear of which (according to the manufacturer) is reduced by 25% compared to brush analogues. Also, thanks to this technology, the productivity of the saw has been increased, and on one charge it is able to make up to 130 cuts of a beam with a cross section of 10x10 cm. The battery itself has a capacity of 3 Ah (not included) and, as in the model Bosch AKE 30 LI 0600837100 , fits another technique, for example, a trimmer. Although the manufacturer indicated that the battery will last for 20 minutes of operation, users note that it freely saws up to half an hour.

The adjustable chain tensioner will allow you to tighten/loosen the chain in a few seconds. The installed electronic motor protection will prevent breakage in case of overload. To protect the operator, the manufacturer has equipped the device with an inertial chain brake that stops it in 0.1 seconds and a folding brake that triggers on a reverse impact. It is worth noting that the saw has a small weight, only 2.7 kg without a battery and cutting equipment (with a tyre and chain it will weigh 3.7 kg), so the user will be able to work for a long time without fatigue. But such a light and high-quality saw will cost the buyer a lot.
