The east european manufacturer of construction tools and equipment Intertool has long been known not only at home, but also in neighboring countries, and even the USA. The SN-5500 snowplow will help out more than once in a snowy winter.
The machine has a 5.5 hp Loncin 4-stroke engine adapted to low temperatures with a capacity of 1700 cubic metres/hour. It is recommended to refuel the unit with grade 92 gasoline. The tank capacity is 3.6 liters, which is enough for 1.5 – 2 hours of operation.
In order for the motor to serve for a long time, the oil viscosity must be selected depending on the temperature regime in which the snowplow is planned to be operated, and the first replacement should be made after the first 5 hours of operation. If there is not enough oil in the engine, it will not start, so it is necessary to maintain the level at the maximum, which will help the float type control sensor.
The SN-5500 starts only from a manual starter. Stingy, but practical. The multi-stage gearbox (5 front, 2 rear) provides high manoeuvrability and makes snow removal possible even on slopes. Let's add here wide wheels with a deep tread and the ability to unlock the differential, which makes both wheels independent, we get a fairly performant assistant who can almost independently cope with breaking and cleaning dense snow crust.
To prevent the screw from breaking when solid objects get into it, it is attached to the shaft with special pins designed for cutting in case of jamming of the mechanism. If this happens, it is important to replace the cut pins with similar ones, since a stronger pin can cause the unit to break down.
The position of the bell for the release of snow can be adjusted within an angle of 180 ° and in height, which is why the range of departure of the mass varies between 10 – 15 m.

The engine can even run on 86 gasoline, but given the quality of east european fuels and lubricants, it is better to fill fuel with a higher octane number.

Considering all the characteristics, Stiga ST 4262 PB can be safely called one of the best snow plows in the middle class, although quite expensive. However, you can hardly find a better one for a thousand euros.
