High-tech open wireless headset using bone conduction technology. The digital audio signal is decoded and converted into vibrations by piezoelectric emitters, which are then transmitted to the eardrum not through the ear canal, but through the bones of the skull. As a result, vibrations of the ear "cochlea" are caused, which are perceived as a natural sound. The main advantage of this principle of operation is that the ears remain open. The user equally well hears both the music in the headphones and the sounds of the surrounding world, which is especially important in a complex and dynamically changing urban environment. The headset is very comfortable for active sports: running, cycling, skateboarding, regular or roller skates, etc. A secure behind-the-ear hook is guaranteed to keep the...AfterShokz Trekz Air headset on your head during vibration, sudden accelerations and sharp shocks. The body of the gadget is protected from water and dust according to the IPX55 standard, it is not afraid of precipitation and sweat. Proprietary LeakSlayer technology compensates for sound leakage. The Bluetooth 4.1 wireless interface is used for pairing with the source. Thanks to the presence of a built-in microphone, it can be used to receive voice calls. Simultaneous work with two source devices using Multipoint technology is supported. The capacity of the Li-Ion battery is enough for 6 hours of battery life.

AfterShokz Trekz Air price graph

The headphones are cool, if you want them, get them.
    20 January 2020
I chose these headphones because I needed open ears and I didn't really like earbuds. I've been using them for over a year and I like it. Since I spend 4 hours a day commuting on weekdays, it started to hurt to listen to music. So every couple of weeks, I put them aside for a few days. At high volume, they start to vibrate quite a bit and it's unpleasant to listen. But if you press your ears, everything sounds fine. You get used to the not very good sound quality. To the vibrations too.
The charge holds perfectly, and if it shows that the charge is almost gone, you can turn it off, wait for some time and the charge will be at an average level. Convenient. No one except you knows how to use them.
The sound, naturally, is not that great. At first it was as if the music was playing in the next room or at the neighbors', but you get used to it. If you wear it for a long time (meaning months for several hours a day), then the contact points start to hurt, so much so that it is impossible to listen.
