A little more than just the bare minimum
The owner of the Bort BTK-123 set is unlikely to have to urgently run to the store for tools if there is a need to repair something. There are 123 items in this set. It can be called universal. The set includes almost all the tools that you may need to work not only at home, but also in the garage. For garage chores (like tinkering with a car or motorcycle), there are plenty of tools in the case designed to work with fasteners. Inside the case are: a pair of 1/4" and 3/8" socket ratchets, three rigid extensions, 40 sockets from 4 mm to 17 mm, two candle sockets (16 mm and 21 mm), 10 combination wrenches and 16 hexagons. In addition to two conventional screwdrivers, there is a bit holder with a large set of bits (40 pcs). In non-standard situations, an adjustable wrench and a clamping clamp will help you out. To work with wires and cables, wire cutters, thin-nosed pliers and a stripper are provided, with which you can strip and twist the ends of cable cores. The manufacturer even included a brush for stripping terminals and contacts and a pressure gauge for checking tyre pressure in the box.
Advantages and disadvantages
At a price of around $40, the Bort BTK-123 kit can be called inexpensive. In east european online stores, there are not so many good sets of metalwork and assembly tools that fall into this price category. However, it is hard not to notice some “low-cost” characteristic of the Bort brand. In particular, buyers note that cases sometimes contain individual bits and heads that have not undergone heat treatment (“raw” steel is not very strong, even though it is a special chrome-vanadium alloy). Also, the suitcase itself causes complaints. It doesn't always latch well, and tools don't stay in their sockets well.
