The idea to install a natural wood-burning fireplace at home died pretty quickly. This is expensive, as it requires laying a chimney and professional arrangement of the hearth. Yes, and it is not so easy to do these works in an already finished house, certain requirements are presented to the chimney that must be strictly observed, and this is not always possible. In general, I had to choose electric fireplaces, which are available in three possible versions. In terms of simulation quality, models with ultrasonic steam generators and LCD screens are leading. But they are the most expensive and their price tag goes beyond $ 1000. Since I was not going to spend such money on an artificial fireplace, I took an affordable version of a projection fireplace. This is not as sophisticated technology as the two mentioned above, but it also gives very decent results. Of course, it is impossible to confuse this fireplace with the real one. Fire on real wood and what the projection mechanism draws is different and pretty decent. But it's damn beautiful! Since I already know that this is an imitation, there is no reason to look for flaws, you can just enjoy the virtues, that is, the play of light / shadow on the walls of the hearth and the very pleasant effect of smoldering logs. In the evening, with the lights off, it looks amazing. Have you ever had sex by the firelight? If not, then I highly recommend it. My wife and I have been married for eight years, but that night was memorable, yes. In addition to visualization, this fireplace can also work as a fan heater with a maximum power of 2 kW. In spring or autumn, this may come in handy, but we turned on the heating only once, try it. The heat fan, when operating, emits a characteristic "technical" smell and additionally, it is audible, albeit the sound is quiet, but it is still there. So its operation doesn't quite match the beautiful picture that the eyes see. |
