The sound is superb for a Bluetooth speaker—clean, bright, balanced with noticeable, pleasant bass. The volume is sufficient for both home and outdoor use.
The controls are convenient and easy to understand, although I rarely use them. It connects easily and quickly. I like the ability to disconnect from a smartphone using the button on the speaker, making it easy to reconnect to another device.
There's an NFC chip, but iPhone doesn't respond to it (amazing Apple); it will most likely work with Android devices.
The design is excellent, with a rubberized insert that probably protects it from minor drops, and it holds well without slipping on surfaces.
What's most interesting is the battery life. It claims 12 hours, maybe if you listen at minimal volume, but in practice, it definitely feels less.
I recommend buying it as a more affordable replacement for top JBL models.
