Chronograph watch

In the corporate line of the American brand FOSSIL, the model represents the initial price category. But despite this, the watch provides a very popular function — a chronograph. It allows you to measure time intervals up to an hour with maximum accuracy. So, three mini-dials of the chronograph count not only minutes and seconds, but also hundredths of a second (1/20): they are respectively located next to the nine o'clock mark, "six" and "twelve".

To display the current time, FOSSIL FS5401 are equipped with three hands on the central axis. They are made in light gold colours, so they are clearly visible on the blue dial substrate. The model also displays the day of the month: the corresponding round window is located near the “troika”.

Japanese mechanism

In its watches, FOSSIL traditionally uses calibers from trusted manufacturers. In our case, the Miyota quartz movement works. Confirmation of the Japanese origin of "quartz" is the inscription at the bottom of the Japan movt dial. It guarantees small movement errors (around 20 sec/month) and is capable of long battery life: up to 4 years, but the exact timing depends on the frequency of use of the chronograph.

Beautiful and practical

The watch does not have to be removed in the shower or hidden from the rain (WR50M). The round 42mm case of the FOSSIL FS5401 is complemented by rectangular lugs slightly inclined towards the case back. They are held on by a brown leather strap with decorative thread inserts and a traditional buckle. On the market there is also a similar version in golden and black colours — FOSSIL FS5404, but its price tag is higher.

The watch definitely deserves the attention of connoisseurs of stylish accessories, and will also appeal to those who are looking for an inexpensive model with a chronograph and a reliable quartz movement.
