As a first trial, I cooked buckwheat in it. The multicooker handled the task and cooked the buckwheat in the standard 20 minutes, which I consider a plus, but:
- Firstly, the design of the body is unsuccessful. The recess with the heating element is surrounded by a plastic rim, which supposedly prevents condensation from getting into the cavity and under the heating element. However, more condensation is produced than the manufacturer probably intended, and a paper towel becomes immediately soaked when wiping it off, and then it drips onto the inner wall, with droplets possibly flowing under the heating element. I managed to catch a drop halfway down, but what happens if you don’t notice this or don’t pay attention?
- Secondly, the day after cooking the buckwheat, which is today, I washed the pot and the plastic spoon with a regular sponge and detergent in hot water. After rinsing, I noticed that a small piece of the non-stick coating had chipped off.
I really hope that I just got a defective unit. I'll be going to return it under warranty in the next few days.
