A distinctive feature of the model is the ABS 2 suspension system. It has a frame made of metal strips, along which a module with a back and straps moves in a vertical plane. At the right level, the design is fixed with Hook-and-loop, and is additionally regulated with straps, which is not provided for in other suspensions. The straps are adjustable in length and height, and are additionally equipped with D-shaped mounts for carabiners. There is also a chest strap with an elastic compensator. The unloading belt also has design features. In particular, there are two belts that regulate the length of the belt and an internal rigid plastic frame. This design (both straps and belt) allows you to extremely accurately customize the backpack for the user, and effectively distributes the load.

Focus on comfort

The weight distribution system pleases not only with comfortable slings and a belt, but also stands out with proprietary Air Mesh technology. Outwardly, it looks like a mesh fabric, but its usefulness can hardly be overestimated. Firstly, air circulation is provided, i.e. all parts of the body in contact with the backpack (back, shoulders and lower back) “breathe”, which is very important during long transitions. Secondly, the design does a good job of dissipating heat, and the user feels comfortable even in extreme heat. And thirdly, the Air Mesh surface quickly absorbs moisture, which means you can not be afraid of either sweating or light rain.

Compression is everything

Another important design nuance is the large number of compression straps that allow you to remove voids inside the backpack after loading, and make it more compact. Such slings are available both on the sides (like most hiking backpacks) and on the front side. Even with the maximum filling, you can greatly shrink the volume, which is appreciated when hiking in the mountains. Although, it is quite likely that it was for this opportunity that I had to give up a place for a hydrator - there is no separate pocket or outlet for a straw.

Hermetic case

On the bottom of the model is another pocket with a rain cover. The presence of a dense cover allows you to save the backpack and its contents not only in heavy rain, but also from dust, sand or dirt. Naturally, the raincoat is made exactly to size and equipped with a rigid elastic band around the edge, so that it will not be torn off even when falling, not to mention the wind.
