Sensors
The German manufacturer TFA's weather station has a built-in thermometer, hygrometer, and barometer, which means it can determine the air temperature and humidity both outdoors and indoors, as well as atmospheric pressure. The external sensor is responsible for measurements outside the home: it is quite compact, doesn't take up much space, and can be mounted on a wall or simply placed on a surface. It is made of plastic and powered by two batteries, but the battery compartment doesn't have a sealing gasket, so it's better to place the sensor under a shelter to keep it dry. It has its own small display with a range of 40 meters. Additionally, you can connect two more sensors for climate control in other rooms, such as a children's room or a cellar.
Color Display
All received data is displayed on a color LCD screen with large, easily readable numbers. However, the screen itself has a limited viewing angle: if you look at it from above, below, or from the side, the image is hard to see. Therefore, it's important to choose the installation location carefully. By the way, with the help of a stand and mount, the device can be placed on a surface or hung on a wall. But in the latter case, access to the control buttons located on the back will be blocked.
The display shows a calendar, time, temperature, humidity, atmospheric pressure, and its histogram for the past 12 hours, daily maximum and minimum values, and as a bonus — the current moon phase (moon calendar). The weather forecast is displayed as images for the next 12 and 24 hours. The device can be used as an alarm clock with a "snooze" function (repeating the signal every 5 minutes).
The station operates from the mains or batteries. When powered by the mains, the display backlight automatically turns on, and when powered by batteries, it turns off after a few seconds. By the way, the backlight has an interesting feature: it can be turned on with a clap or by touching the panel, which is very convenient.
