Ready for the cold
Introduced in 2020, the Trek Planet sleeping bag is designed for use in the spring or autumn. It is allowed to use it even during frosts (when the thermometer falls to values of 1 – 8 °C below zero). Similar weather conditions (especially at night) are not uncommon in the second half of autumn or early spring. In extreme conditions, it is permissible to spend the night in the Trek Planet Aosta Double even in severe frosts down to -19 °C.
Good thermal insulation properties here are provided by a 2-layer four-channel Hollowfiber insulation. And for additional protection against heat loss, there is not only a traditional thermal insert along the zipper, but also a full-fledged hood. The latter is far from always present in sleeping-blankets in general, and in double models it is generally a rarity.
Convenient for a couple
The sleeping bag on the outside provides a dense and durable polyester fabric with a RipStop tear protection system. The inner lining is made of polycotton, combining the ruggedness of synthetics with the pleasant tactile and breathable properties of cotton.
For comfortable use, L-shaped zippers are offered, located on both sides of the sleeping bag. When fully unzipped, the top can be used like a regular duvet. There is also an anti-bite protection, an internal pocket for storing small items and drying loops.
Wide bed
The width of the Trek Planet Aosta Double bed is 150 cm, which is quite comfortable for two. Together with the hood, the length reaches 230 cm, and the maximum user height is 190 cm, which is also a fairly universal value. The package comes with a bag-case for transportation, but in it the dimensions of the model are really large (55x48x23 cm). The weight of the sleeping bag at 3.6 kg also belongs to the minuses: this is the price for high thermal insulation.
