What I love about affordable brands is not only the opportunity to buy more or less decent equipment at an accessible price but also the creativity. The designers from "Vitka" didn't bother with developing an original appearance and simply used one of the popular French Tefal models as a reference. I wouldn't say it's copied one-to-one, but if you look at the range of French irons, you'll easily notice a strong resemblance. The differences, of course, are purely cosmetic. It works both in the usual traditional horizontal mode and in the vertical steam mode. A special smooth and non-stick ceramic coating is applied to the surface that rides on the fabric. If you evaluate the ease of sliding, then this is probably the best iron that I have had. You have to iron often and a lot, a husband and two schoolboy sons generate a lot of things that need washing and ironing. Smoothes even better with steam. It is adjustable, however, the effectiveness of these adjustments is mediocre. Holds a lot of water, it includes more than 300 grams. Forgetting it on is not scary, there is an automatic shutdown system and it works well - I forgot it and made sure on a living example. When using the steam boost several times in succession, water may drip. It is especially unpleasant if the water that you poured in is tap water and cloudy from the scale that forms inside the iron. Then the drops can leave white spots on dark clothes. That's why we don't use tap water and switched to non-demineralized water. |
