At first glance, by technical specifications, this is the most ordinary microwave. Honestly, if we only looked at them, we would never have bought this oven. But when you look at its appearance, interest arises immediately. It truly looks unusual, and my wife was immediately attracted to its exterior. To give you some context, my wife is professionally involved in industrial design and is "in the know." When it comes to taste and style, I always listen to her opinion, and in 99 out of 100 cases, she is right. The same happened with this oven. Its understated, yet bold and unique design fit very well into our eclectic kitchen. I think not everyone could have coffee every morning in such a brain-blasting space as our kitchen. But I've gotten used to it; it's fine for me ))) She does her job very well. Although the power is small, it is distributed more or less evenly and the overall heating occurs fairly quickly. My wife and I work a lot, so pizza or just a ready-made dinner are frequent guests in our kitchen, so you don’t have to stand idle in the microwave. I especially want to praise the low power mode and the defrost mode. Deadly frozen beef is ready to cook a steak in 15 minutes. I know that stones will be thrown at me for a frozen meat steak. But, believe me, if the meat is good and frozen correctly, then there is every chance of success. Simple controls, clear modes, bright lighting, good (albeit Chinese) assembly and high-quality enamel - all this makes working with this stove easy and enjoyable. A small display would not hurt, especially since for the price it should have been here. A sharp sound indicating readiness is too loud. |
A simple model at an adequate price
The low-cost desktop microwave oven Zanussi ZFM 20110 WA is a very simple device without excessive functionality, for which the buyer is forced to overpay. The device perfectly manages without a display and grill, built-in auto-cooking programs and other technological excesses. This is a reliable assistant in the daily preparation and serving of hot food on the table. In the case with dimensions 26x44x33 cm there is a furnace with an internal volume of 20 liters. The steel walls of the working chamber are coated with heat-resistant enamel for easy cleaning. On the right inner wall there is a cover of a microwave generator (magnetron) and a lamp shade, and a rotary axis protrudes from the bottom, on which a roller guide with a glass tray Ø 255 mm is placed. The microwave door, equipped with a push-button opening mechanism, swings open to the side, which will require additional space on the kitchen table.
Two ways to defrost
The laconic control panel consists of 2 rotary knobs: microwave power selection and timer. The oven has 5 heating levels with corresponding power modes: ultra low — 119 W, low (defrost) — 231 W, medium — 385 W, high — 539 W and high — 700 W. A microwave with the Easy Defrost function can defrost by time and by a given weight (scale in minutes and kg). In the latter case, it is enough for you to indicate the mass of the product, which corresponds to a certain time of its heat treatment. The device signals the end of the cooking cycle with an audible signal. This model is assembled in a white case, but there is also a silver version ZFM 20110 SA.
