I was looking for a large capacity disk to replace the HDD in my laptop with an SSD. The old hard drive crashed, so there wasn't much choice. There is no point in installing the same disk. If the light goes out, then the information will not go anywhere. If you want to add a disk to the built-in one, then an Acronis license will come in handy. The application will allow you to quickly transfer data from one drive to another. This is especially useful for copying the system so as not to reinstall it again.
