Семь сезонов, СЕМЬ отъездил - меняю. 215-65-р16 : на 1м нет 5шипов, на 2м нет 8шипов, на 3м не 9шипов, на 4м - 30 ти (зимы часто без снега, по асфальту...). Может есть и лучше шины, но эти меня устроили Управляемость, устойчивость - снег, лёд, каша. Хороший рисунок, воду и кашу отводит. На седьмую зиму пару раз не слушались руля. 195/65/15 on a Mercedes, all 4 wheels. Used from December to March (6 months). The tires are superb. When braking on ice, the car stops "like it's anchored," definitely reducing the stopping distance, though we didn't measure by how much. The car is heavy, rear-wheel drive, but it performed excellently on snowy surfaces and icy mountain roads in Crimea. When taking turns, the rear wheels did not skid. Many advised against purchasing, saying these tires were not suitable for Crimea, but the weather this winter was such that without studs, it would have been very disappointing. Braking distance is reduced Excellent grip on road surfaces (ice, wet asphalt, shallow snow) Even though more driving was done on ice and wet asphalt than on snow - the studs remain in place and there is no damage. Noisy, but only as much as studded tires can be noisy. If the car has proper sound insulation, there are no issues. Price 1000 UAH per 1 unit.  Julia: use Goodyear Ultra Grip Ice Arctic few months |
Tip: It's better to buy 4 (although I have 2) because during sudden braking, you need to slightly control the car, as I have poor quality SAVA tires in the rear. I think with 4, it'll be great -- Oh, and I advise getting the widest ones possible and not listening to experts with physics formulas (about narrow tires and passability) because maybe passability is indeed better on narrow ones BUT the problems arise not in the passability (just a press on the gas and off you go) but in when you are practically stopped or stationary and need to start moving. Definitely get new ones as the difference between half-worn and new is enormous. I wore down the tires in 3 days of snowfalls during a temp-job in a taxi!! And I'm not even a taxi driver, just taking side gigs)) Don't skimp... 205-65-15 cost.. To say it's excellent is an understatement)).. drives like it's summer.. don't listen to the nonsense about stud noise.. at least not with this model) and what noise can you talk about unless you're driving a premium class car-- something is bound to squeak or rattle (if it's about fancy cars, then improve the sound insulation) before this, I had Kumho and Sava.. that I often slipped on them I considered normal for winter and was not upset BUT when I put on Goodyear Arctic Ice I realized.. more precisely, I woke up)) IT DRIVES!!)) Provoked to drive deeper and further)) like in the joke about the jeep (the cooler it is, the further you have to run for the tractor)-- got stuck once, one person pushed and drove out.. and maybe could have swung out on my own probably..)) and once when the snow came up to the hood (wanted to show off in the field) of course got stuck but managed to reverse out.
