I purchased this thermometer to replace an ordinary mercury one, which is not only very toxic but also "stiff" when shaking. It reacts positively to me, emitting a sound signal when completing a body temperature measurement under the armpit even with low battery charge. However, for another person who does not like electronic medical devices, this same thermometer does not signal the completion of the temperature measurement at all. Let's attribute this feature to sensitivity to the biofield of certain individuals :) The thermometer readings are easy to read on the display. Although the display is small, the numbers are large enough for even those with impaired vision to read.
