Worked for 1 year plus a couple of days! It was installed in an Audi A4. Returned for repair with factory protective films and seals, without a single scratch. The official repair service took 2 months and quoted "battery replacement" for 340 hryvnias. After the repair, it worked for 2 minutes. Sent it back - they returned it with the words "we can't help with anything"! Defective motherboard! The repair was not recognized as warranty-covered (warranty is 1 year), and the repair cost is equal to the price of a new recorder! In the end, 120 bucks down the drain... Before buying, I read similar reviews and didn't think something like this would happen to me. Very good DVR for the price. In any light, the picture quality is very decent - at a sane distance, car numbers are read without problems, and everything else is visible, although it is worse during rain, but this is probably the case for everyone. With the help of GPS / Glonass, it shows the speed, and also warns about cameras fixing violations, although in Ukraine this function is not really needed until “letters of happiness” are introduced. You can download map updates from the official site. The registrar itself is assembled quite well, which can not be said about the mount, which looks flimsy, and it’s hard to detach from it. By the way, it has a built-in GPS-transmitter. Management is simple, understandable - everyone will understand. In general, the model is efficient - I recommend it! It is good when more and more new brands and new products appear on the market. Competition cannot but rejoice, on the one hand it forces manufacturers to take care of quality, and on the other hand it makes prices more affordable. I chose this registrar purely on the basis of characteristics, and samples of the captured video are now in abundance on YouTube. Ordered, brought, I use the third month and am quite satisfied. Video quality is top notch. The viewing angle is gorgeous, just what the doctor ordered. Captures crisp 1080p videos day and night. And if I had no particular doubts about the quality of daytime shooting, the matrix here is good, then the night picture was a pleasant surprise. Night video is really legible and if there is street lighting, then even detailed. Supports large, up to 64 gigs, and fast memory cards. Writes video in cycles, as is customary with DVRs. The sound is also captivating, also with decent quality. There is a motion sensor and it works well. A small 2.7-inch screen is suitable for settings, you can also use it to watch videos, but only if it gets hot)) The databases of cameras and radars are not relevant for us yet, but who knows, they may come in handy in time. The battery is small and it can't work from it by and large. Enough for 4-5 minutes, purely to complete the work normally. The case is plastic, not perfectly fitted and therefore a little creaky. GPS works flawlessly only outside the city. In the city, especially in areas with high-rise buildings, it can decently lie. |

A high resolution
The device's camera, built on the basis of the flagship Ambarella A7 chip, records video at a resolution of 2304x1296 pixels. The manufacturer calls it only "2K", although in fact the indicated resolution corresponds to the Super FullHD format. Anyway, the video sequence boasts high-definition images both during daytime driving and at night, when the HDR function is connected to help in obtaining a detailed image. The license plates of passing and oncoming cars remain readable in the vast majority of cases (except, perhaps, driving in complete darkness or traveling in bad weather conditions).
Notifications
Part of the body of the registrar on the driver's side is given over to a 2.7-inch display, which serves to display information about the current and allowed speeds of movement, as well as a number of other data. For example, you can download the current database of fixed cameras (constantly updated) into the device’s memory, thanks to which notifications will be displayed on the screen when you approach the point of video recording of violations. At the same time, the DVR will warn about this by voice. Determining the location of cameras, as well as measuring the speed of movement, is the responsibility of the built-in GPS / GLONASS modules.
Price quality
Lane control stands out from a number of secondary useful functions of the registrar — when leaving its lane, the device gives the driver a warning signal. The only thing missing in the model is the ability to turn the camera towards the driver's window, which can be useful in case the car is stopped by law enforcement officers. Otherwise, Sho-Me A7-GPS/Glonass is one of the best DVRs in its class in terms of price/quality ratio.
