I can't say this is an amazing quadcopter. On the plus side, it has a good package (spare propellers, protection, charger, remote, camera, battery, and the copter itself). The return home function is notable, especially if you're flying far. It features a tilting camera (moves up and down). There's a barometer and GPS, so you don't have to worry about the quadcopter being carried off course. The propellers aren't particularly noisy. The quadcopter is quick and easy to assemble. Now for the cons. The main downside is the camera's shooting quality. It's not great. Plus, there is almost no field of view, so it's very difficult to fly using the camera. The app lacks functions, only offering the basics like viewing footage, record, stop, etc. Calibration of the compass is very inconvenient, it's lengthy and quite difficult the first few times. The battery lasts about 5-7 minutes, which is rather short in my opinion. Even though the camera is tiltable, it's more like stepping adjustments, one press moves the camera by about 5 degrees. Obviously, the camera quality is not meant for filming Hollywood blockbusters, but a stepper motor could have been added. By the way, I don't know why everyone mentions a range of 50-70 meters, in my city it was flying up to 250-400 meters out. There is a barometer and GPS + return home function (both upon signal loss and by pressing a button on the remote). The camera is rotatable. Relatively quiet. Very easy to assemble. Convenient remote with a good mount for a smartphone. Flight time. Complex calibration. Camera shooting quality. No automatic additional functions. use Syma X8 Pro few months |
