Wireless gamepad from a well-known Dutch manufacturer of peripherals with a rich history and proven track record. It is a good example of a successful combination of affordable cost, excellent functionality and a decent level of quality. Designed for use with personal computers and laptops. It is also fully compatible with Sony Playstation 3 game consoles. It connects to a set-top box or personal computer using a miniature USB receiver (USB Type-A connector) that supports data transmission over a 2.4 GHz radio channel. Due to the high connection speed, the Trust GXT-545 wireless gamepad is practically devoid of noticeable Input Lag. The manufacturer is positioned as a product of the middle price category, designed for a wide range of console and PC gamers. The layout of the buttons and the...location of the D-pad in this model is similar to that used in the branded Dual Shock controllers for Sony Playstation 3. The tactilely pleasant micro-textured surface of the case tolerates falls from a small height (up to 1.5 m) and moderate impacts without consequences. In addition to the D-pad and 4 main keys, there are two sensitive analogue sticks, two bumpers, two triggers and three additional buttons (including one for the Home function). With the ability to switch the input method x-input or d-input, it works with old and new games.

Trust GXT-545 price graph

    normal model, nothing special
    5 August 2021
Bought it, unpacked it, thought: "what a cool gamepad, looks fun, feels nice", started playing, everything was fine, although I noticed that the right trigger doesn't press well, as if it's rubbing against something inside, the left stick is stiff when moving downwards to the right, tried to come to terms with it, since it's a budget gamepad, but the next day after 2 hours of gaming, the left stick started sticking, maybe it's not lubricated, feels like it's bumping into something. Overall, you might take a risk and get it, if you're lucky and it arrives without defects, it will be a decent gamepad with small dead zones, which personally didn't bother me in games.
Comfortable, pleasant to the touch. Supports XInput, there is a vibration feedback.

    100% Compatibility

Trust GXT 545 is the cheapest wireless gamepad for PC with support for XInput input technology. This technology, borrowed from the Xbox consoles, is used in the vast majority of modern PC games, while the alternative DirectInput is used only in older games. However, the GXT 545 also supports it. Suddenly, you want to replay the classics on the NES emulator (aka Dendy), Sega Mega Drive or the first generation PlayStation.

    All the best gathered together

The main part of the body of the GXT 545 is made of soft-touch plastic, and the handles are made of pimpled rubber for a more secure grip. Sticks (triggers) are arranged symmetrically, like Sony gamepads. But the triggers (large rear triggers) are made oblong, which is closer to Microsoft gamepads.

For fighting games, but not shooters

The D-pad is split, making the Trust GXT 545 a great choice for fighting games like Mortal Kombat, Street Fighter, and Tekken. Only the low sensitivity of the sticks causes complaints - up to a certain angle of deviation, they practically do not respond to pressing. However, this is critical only for shooters, and certainly no one plays this genre on a PC with a gamepad.
