Used it for two years. Initially, it was pleasing: light, heated up very quickly, glided well, and had good steam output. Over time, it started to leak, but since the iron was powerful, it dried up whatever spilled quickly. The real problem was limescale (the water was always filtered, drinking water), the self-cleaning system: it simply didn't exist (only in the description), and the button didn't make any difference whether pressed or not. Limescale would remain on the clothes (actually falling off in pieces), and if it leaked at the same time, rust stains would be left on the clothing. Clothes had to be washed again. The lid covering the water inlet fell off after about a year. It had to be plugged up with a cap from a "Morosha" bottle. The soleplate got very dirty and was impossible to clean (except maybe with sandpaper), though it was more bothersome visually than affecting the glide. Overall, over time, it became increasingly difficult to iron clothes properly. After two years it burned out. It could not be repaired as the soleplate needed replacing, the burned-out coil was permanently sealed within it, and there was no way to repair it, nor any desire to fix this iron. It burned out, and thank goodness! Price, heats up quickly. It is short-lived, does not hold water, scale has to be picked out, the sole cannot be cleaned over time. use Vitek VT-1251 month or more |
