The selection of earbuds on the market is rather scarce, but this model is a worthy representative in its class. I specifically needed earbuds for the office, as I listen to music almost all the time at work. Previously, I used in-ear monitors and really began to feel that they negatively affected my hearing, which is why I decided to switch to earbuds. I comfortably wear them for 8 hours without any discomfort (and I have been using them for several years now). I was very surprised by their sound (in a good way). Initially, I was skeptical, doubting that earbuds could sound on par with in-ear monitors. But when I first heard them, I was extremely surprised — the sound was not at all inferior to my Brainwavz Delta. The sound is balanced, with bass, and I could distinguish FLAC from MP3. Yes, it's not at an audiophile level, of course, but they deliver their value at 110%. They served me faithfully for a very long time, but recently the sound in the left ear has started to distort, and the foam tips have torn. They were more comfortable than the silicone ones. So I will have to replace them, but most likely they will be replaced by new 1More Design) - excellent sound for the money (I listen to very diverse music, from classical to heavy rock, from ethnic to dubstep — never disappointed) - fit well in the ears - ears do not get tired from the sound or the fit - high-quality braided cable (in excellent condition after several years) - rich package contents - pleasant metal casing - paired well with a Xiaomi phone (controls, same sound) - Considering the design, it's unfair to list this as a downside, but it's worth mentioning — sound isolation is practically nonexistent. In the subway, with the volume turned all the way up, not much can be heard. It's somewhat better on the street, but still not ideal. - As a headset on the street, it's also not very good. - Not everlasting — they started to deteriorate after a couple of years (I don't remember exactly how long I've had them, probably about three years). ![]() |
My new phone became a high-mid-range Xiaomi two months ago, and it's a really cool device that required quality headphones for proper sound. And why go far when the same Chinese from Xiaomi make such headphones. True, their price is not that cheap, but they look and sound just awesome. I don't like in-ear headphones, for some reason they wildly irritate me and don't stay well in my ears. So I chose the more familiar earbuds. They come in a cool metal case. Basically, it's small and can be used as a container for transporting these earbuds, and it also looks impressive if you're giving such "ears" to someone. They come with foam cushions and unusual silicone pads that secure the headphones in the ear and prevent them from falling out during running or other sports activities. I can only praise the sound. It's balanced, clear, and loud. You can listen to them at full phone volume without inserting them in your ears, just by placing them on the table in front of you. I'd also like to point out that the bass is so powerful that at high volume you can feel it when holding the "ears" in your hands. There's a simple and useful remote that allows you to adjust the volume and switch tracks. The cord to the remote is in a fabric braid, and after the remote, it's soft silicone. Beautiful packaging-box did not open with my hands, no matter how hard I tried. I had to use a screwdriver, which is actually wrong. Apparently the Chinese overdid it with the effort that they pressed the cover into, or its dimensions were not exactly observed. The plug has a straight wire exit, without a right angle, and this is not convenient when used with a phone. |
low-cost luxury
The Chinese brand Xiaomi has been closely cooperating with the Chinese company 1MORE for a long time, and the result of the joint work was a whole line of high-end Xiaomi 1More headphones. The presented model was developed for those who remained an adherent of the classic "droplets", but who want to get high-quality sound in a stylish design, and even at an affordable price.
Design and equipment
The manufacturer immediately decided to place the user to the device, so when you open the box you will be greeted by a stylish case with stereo headphones and ear pads included. Complete nozzles (foam rubber and silicone) will serve as a good grip of the device with the ear.
The headphones themselves are made of gold-plated aluminium and vaguely resemble their Piston v2 counterparts, but are made in a different form factor. It’s worth mentioning right away that the golden coating of aluminium is short-lived, and during prolonged use it can fade and change colour to grey, but the fabric braid (Kevlar fibre) of the round cord is very wear-resistant.
If you are not going for a run, then you can use them even without a transparent nozzle, as they sit well in your ears.
Control
On the cord is a remote control made of metal in gold colour with plastic buttons and a microphone. The operation of the remote control is very correct, the movement of the buttons is smooth, and the response is nimble.
Using a straight mini-Jack (3.5 mm) plug, the device can be connected to almost any portable device, desktop computer or home speaker system.
sound
The presented model is unpretentious to the sound source, so it handles well with its functions both when using an external sound card and when playing from a low-cost smartphone. But users note that the sound quality in conjunction with Xiaomi products is slightly higher than when paired with other devices.
In general, the sound is decent, the melodic line is not distorted, and the volume is enough even for those who like to listen to music “to the fullest”. However, it is worth remembering that when you turn on tracks at full volume, people around you will hear your compositions, since there is practically no sound insulation, which is justified by such a form factor.
