I used this system for a few days... What can I tell you all: if you were used to sound from regular plastic computer speakers, then you'll definitely find the sound delightful. This system isn't suitable for me. Music sounds dry, and at high volumes, everything blends into a cacophony and becomes more like the ranting of a madman than music. When watching movies, the sound doesn't impress either, as the bass is very weak, lacking depth, which means you miss out on the essence of why you'd get a 5.1 system in the first place. In games, you have to adjust the sound for each game, pause and set the room compensation, sounds are unrealistic, and the bass lags again. I have something to compare it to; I had a 4U A100 - those were basically crappy speakers, the assembly was very poor and they were the cheapest 5.1 system at the time. It had a 50W subwoofer, and I never needed to use it at full power, it just wasn't necessary. Here I thought, why would I need something so powerful if I'm not using all its capabilities, but I was wrong... the difference is colossal. I'll be returning this and getting something more expensive, but what??? price body material - cardboard ![]() |
This is my second comment about these speakers. Here's what new I've understood: 1. To ensure the sound is clear at high volume, you should not raise the volume slider in Windows (it's the one on the lower panel near the clock) above 45% (apparently, the reason is that increasing the volume above 50% is done not by hardware but by software, which leads to a significant drop in sound quality). To increase volume, use the slider in the audio player (preferably AIMP) or on the speakers themselves. These speakers require a long break-in period. I've had them for 8 months, and each month they sound louder and clearer. This is due to the use of "no press" technology in the manufacture of the speakers. Good sound for little money. The weakest point of these acoustics is their average purity, so in some songs they have to be lowered. ![]() |
After long analysis and reviews of all 5.1 acoustic systems up to 1500 UAH, I settled on this one. Initially, I was choosing acoustics for music. BUT keep in mind that this is a budget 5.1 system, and expecting luxury-class sound from it is not worth it. It's very important to understand that everyone's hearing is different, it all depends on who is listening. If you've previously listened to hi-fi and hi-end systems and they delight your ears, and poor sound irritates you, then look for something more expensive than 2000 UAH: Edifier DA5000 Pro, Edifier S550, S530, S730. Initially, I listened to it on the integrated VIA sound card. It's sufficient for movies and games. As for music: Pop, ballads (Michael Jackson), rap, club music sound tolerable, but alternative (Linkin Park, Evanescence) just irritate. Rock and metal also sound unimpressive. I borrowed an Asus Xonar DX/D1 sound card (580 UAH) and EVERYTHING CHANGED DRASTICALLY! There was juicy sound, volume even in Linkin Park. For this: 1) install AIMP-3 player 2) only listen to FLAC music 3) adjust equalizer for this acoustics which is VERY important!!! All sliders should be set to the middle position. Frequencies below 70 HZ can be raised slightly above the middle, frequencies 80-90 HZ should be almost completely reduced (-10 Db), 100-170 HZ – do not touch, from 170 to 500 HZ gradually increase, 500 HZ is the peak value (+5.3 Db), from 700 to 2800 gradually decrease to the middle, do not touch the other frequencies. If anyone needs exact settings, write to volandrei86@mail.ru 1. good value for money. 2. Good quality materials and assembly for the given price. 3. Solid subwoofer 3. Adjust the equalizer very carefully. ![]() |
