Solid desktop two-way acoustic stereo system with built-in amplifier and wireless remote control. The speaker cabinets are made of dense wood-based material (MDF of the highest class E0), which gives the sound the necessary depth and eliminates the unpleasant phenomenon of acoustic resonance. The Edifier R1600TIII two-way acoustic system is designed for demanding users who choose high-quality and relatively compact acoustics with loud, accurate and detailed sound. The kit includes an active speaker with a branded digital class D amplifier (Texas Instruments TAS5707) and a plug-in passive speaker. In addition, the box contains a wireless remote control, as well as a set of cables: 2xRCA->2xRCA and 3-pin miniJack 3.5mm->2xRCA. A pair of 4″ low-frequency speakers with Nomex diffusers and a pair of 1″ high-frequency tweeters are responsible for sound output. The tone control on the side of the active speaker allows you to adjust the high and low frequencies (from -6 to +6 dB). The total rated power of the speakers reaches an impressive 60 W (2x30 W).

I took these speakers tempted by flattering reviews and a promotional price 25% lower than the store price. First impressions - they are perfectly assembled, heavy, good equipment, high-quality cables, the size is not large and not small, they look very nice. I connected it directly to the laptop - the sound was a little disappointing - judging by the reviews, I was waiting for the best. Those who wrote that a sound card is needed are 100% right, using an external sound card is a completely different matter. It is not worth judging strictly columns for such a price - this is certainly not Hi-Fi or Hi-End. For its size and price, the sound is very decent. If you want better - buy 2-3 times more expensive, but it's not a fact that the sound will improve 2-3 times. I would put 5, but I do not want to reassure anyone too much. I repeat once again - the sound is quite good for this price and size, but you should not expect super-duper cool sound from them.
