How to choose a multifunction printerGuide to choosing an MFP for home, office and commercial projects with minimal costs
Not a bad option for a small office
 20 November 2017
I bought it for a small office with only three people working in it. We don’t print that much, but from time to time we need high-quality color printing. Well, if you choose between color laser and inkjet printers, then the prices for inkjet printers are much more pleasant. And our printing volumes are not enough to take a powerful laser model. Since the typical duties of office equipment also include copying all sorts of documents, I decided to take this MFP. It turns out to be all-in-one and does not take up much space on the table.
The print quality is excellent, there is no other way to say it. However, it should be noted that, like all inkjet printers, this one is demanding on the paper on which text and graphics are printed. Print speed is excellent. Regular black text is output at 12 pages per minute, which is comparable to the speed of inexpensive home laser printers. Color business graphics come out a little slower, about 10 ppm. I was also pleased with the fast photo printing - a standard 10x15 print in good quality is printed in 15-20 seconds, in super quality - a little more than 30 seconds. The MFP itself is equipped with a color screen and convenient push-button controls. You can print from iOS and Android devices via Wi-Fi, for example, a photo directly from your smartphone. The CIS scanner is the most ordinary one. Its depth of field is weak, but it scans tightly pressed sheets perfectly. The MFP operates quietly. There is a one-year warranty.
If you use cheap paper, the print quality is reduced due to the fact that ink droplets spread throughout its looser structure. This is especially noticeable in color printing, because there the contours of adjacent color zones can become blurred. So for high-quality printing, it is best to buy paper designed for inkjet printing. If we are talking about photographic quality, then you need thick photo paper, and this in itself is not cheap. He also doesn’t have very cheap consumables, but no one forces you to buy only originals? ))

Epson's five-colour printing device combines the functionality of a printer, scanner, and copier in one bottle. 4 separate cartridges in it are designed to perform photo printing tasks, and an additional black one is connected to work when printing text documents in black and white.

Print from anywhere

The MFP captivates with omnivorousness to ways to connect third-party devices. Sending files to the print queue can be done via a classic wired connection, from a USB flash drive or an external SD drive, directly from the camera (PictBridge technology) and via Wi-Fi. In addition, the device is "friendly" with some social networks (Instagram and Facebook), as well as cloud storage.

Print speed

At the bottom of the front panel of the MFP, there are separate trays for A4 plain paper with a capacity of 100 sheets and for photo paper for 20 sheets. Epson Expression Premium XP-630 prints at 13 ppm in black and white, and about 10 ppm in colour. It takes a little longer (20 seconds) to print one photo. High maximum print resolution (5760x1440 dpi) allows you to get detailed results. Documents are scanned at a resolution of 1200x2400 dpi.

Touch control

Print, scan and copy settings are controlled by a touch panel with an LCD colour display that displays information in English. However, intuitive icons in front of each item will help you understand the menu. The owners of the MFP leave completely positive feedback about the device, which in itself is a symbol of the high quality of the product and confirmation of the model's fidelity in fulfilling its mission.
