Hubsan Zino Pro price graph

Not a very expensive alternative to Mavic Pro.
     8 April 2020
The drone is not bad. It handles nicely and, most importantly, is quite wind resistant. I think because of the blades, they are quite large in diameter, and I won’t say that they are light. In moderate winds it does not move at all, it hovers in place like a glove. In medium winds it flutters, but the stub basically compensates. The average for me is when the trees sway, and not when the bags are snatched from my hands. Because such wind is fatal for a drone. The blades fold and so does the drone. In my opinion, the size is a copy of Mavic Pro. Even the remote control is very similar. I don’t know what the operating frequency of the remote control is, but the flight range is about one and a half kilometers in the city; it was not possible to fly further. I did not fly outside the city. The operation of the propellers is not very noisy, it can be heard at a distance of 50-70 meters, then it merges with the noise of the city. The picture quality is pleasant, rich, even with a slight bend. But it often overexposes bright objects, so much so that you can’t see what kind of object it is. The battery can be easily removed, which is probably a minus, as it can fall out if dropped. It lasts for 18-20 minutes, which in my opinion is very worthy. The software seems to work well and has a lot of features. The most important function in my opinion is flying over given points. While the drone is flying, I can shoot, tilt the camera, change settings, etc. This is very convenient, as you don’t need to monitor the trajectory. There is a significant drawback: sometimes the camera starts to shake a little (if the tracking mode is on). Apparently it catches an object and loses it at the same time. I concluded for myself that the drone is worth the money.
Good camera stabilization. Even on a noticeably windy day, air currents can shake the drone, but the camera always handles this shaking smoothly. The camera matrix is quite contrasty and reproduces colors well (richly). Sometimes the sharpness is not enough, but it suits me. The drone folds easily and can be carried in hand luggage. Not noisy in operation. The battery always lasts for 18 minutes of flight, even in strong winds. You can fly for 20 days in calm weather. The battery takes a couple of hours to charge, not half a day like my previous drone. In the city, on average it flies by 800 meters, sometimes by 1200-1500. I think this is a good result. Quite simple controls and the software itself. Lots of drone flight functions.
The matrix still overexposes bright objects. On a sunny day, it may spoil the overall picture a little due to white spots in the video.

The Chinese company Hubsan stepped into the arena of unmanned aerial vehicles quite recently. But she has already managed to win the hearts of many pilots — from beginners to aces of aerobatics.

    Key innovations

The Pro version of the popular Zino model has been upgraded in key areas of the programme. So, the range of its flight has increased from a modest distance of 1 km to 4 km, and the video bitrate has grown to 60 Mbps. At the same time, the maximum speed of the drone's movement across the air surface has halved — from 60 km/h to 32 km/h.

    Equipment

The quadcopter is equipped with brushless motors with folding propellers, GPS and GLONASS modules, a 4K camera on a three-axis stabilization gimbal. The drone takes off and lands automatically, and it returns to the starting point on its own when a low 3Ah battery is detected. A full charge of the battery lasts for 23 minutes. hovering in the clouds. The only “but” is that in many instances of a quadcopter, the battery latches are stuck.

    Remote control

Communication between the copter and the pilot is established through a remote control with a wired connection to a smartphone. On the screen of a mobile gadget, you can see a picture from the drone's camera as a 720p online broadcast. It is proposed to control the drone manually or by resorting to the services of automatic flight programs: tracking the object of filming Follow Me, flying in a circle in Orbit Mode, passing the route using GPS points, etc. As a bonus, drone owners get the opportunity to use replaceable ND filters. More about the main filters in photography is described in the article of the same name.

    Options:
    • Zino Pro — battery, charger, three cables (USB-C, microUSB and Lightning), HT106 remote control, two sets of propellers, remote control charging cable, gimbal protection
    • Zino Pro Portable — base package + transport case, additional battery, portable charger for car charging, two additional sets of propellers
Difference from the previous Zino model:
    • Black Zino Pro model, camera paired with Ambrella A12 S series processor (Zino model — A series), support for replaceable ND filters, maximum bitrate — 60 Mbps (Zino model — 45 Mbps), panoramic shooting modes (spherical, 180°, vertical, wide angle), "Hyperlapse" mode, improved image transmission system LEAS 1.0, increased FPV transmission distance to 4 km (Zino model — 1 km), airspeed decreased to 32 km/h (Zino model — 60 km/h).
