I am very picky about the quality of sound during a conversation. I visited all the stores and bothered all the salespeople trying to find a stable and inexpensive headset. Almost everyone was selling the same thing, so there was no point in listening to the same stuff, but then I stumbled upon the Jabra Boost 6.0. I was surprised by its stability, and I was very pleased with it. To this day, it is still working, and it's been 5 years. Yes, it looks a little worn, but it's used almost every day, whether in the kitchen, on the car's turn signal switch, in the pocket, or elsewhere. I have to say, the headset is covered with something like a glossy armor, like varnish or a film that gives it a shine and serves as a protective layer. I was pleasantly surprised by this quality; other manufacturers just use plastic and that's it. The battery indeed lasts a long time, most likely as long as the manufacturer claims. It's not as it was at the beginning, but it still lasts a day with moderate use, and it has been 5 years of active use. A good device for work, especially on the road. I purchased this model for communication during frequent travels (I work on the phone). I needed something inexpensive, functional, with a good battery capacity. I considered the Mini as well but chose the Boost because of its larger battery capacity (600mAh versus 100mAh). It's small, ergonomic, fits well in the ear even without an external grip, and doesn't cause discomfort during extended wear (more than 4 hours); it's easy to operate. The speaker is good, and I can hear my conversation partners well. Noise cancellation works effectively. The actual range is about 30 meters (I left the phone in the car and walked away to check). It automatically connects to the smartphone when there's a signal, as it informs you. I haven't noticed any "disconnections" in sleep mode – no missed calls on the smartphone, so apparently, it "wakes up" somehow when there's an incoming signal. With phone conversations lasting at least 3 hours a day, the battery lasts about 4 days. Charging only in the off mode. If I had known about idiotic diodes I would not have bought them. Lightweight, universal mounting kit, dimensions, sound, Flashing LEDs! Why is there no way to knock them out?! The headset is definitely good functionally. The name Boost (from the English increase) hints at greater battery life and good communication quality. And there is. In talk mode, the device works up to 9 hours, and in standby mode — up to a year. The first was confirmed on the first day.
Good sound too. The device perfectly transmits speech, thanks to two HD Voice microphones, and the speaker with a diameter of 11 mm also reproduces audio quite adequately. Of course, as far as possible for mono sound. At the same time, the volume is controlled by a button on the earpiece itself. With the help of a voice assistant, it is easy to dial a subscriber, receive hints about a low battery, connecting to a smartphone.
If you want the interlocutor not to hear you during a conversation, you can turn off the microphone. Extremely convenient function for business conversations. The purity of the sound is provided by the noise reduction system, but in the Boost model it is far from perfect, so you should not count on perfect audibility with loud extraneous noise. But this, as they say, is already a cost.
Jabra Boost is perfect for long conversations, Skype video conferences and other business matters. Its battery life will be enough for a whole working day without any problems and even then for a couple of hours of rest while listening to an audiobook or online radio. Refrain from buying can only make the cost — about $ 60. But the very fact that the 2015 model still does not lose in price only justifies its relevance.
