How to choose a memory cardTips on choosing memory cards for smartphones, cameras, video recorders, action cameras and other digital equipment
Unfortunately, Kingston does not have insurance against factory defects
13 October 2020
Purchased this card in July this year for a future action camera. Disappointment began after purchasing the camera itself - it couldn't handle a card of such size and failed to recognize it as a storage device, so to set up the camera, I had to insert this card into an old tablet, which immediately recognized it and allowed me to transfer some apps from internal memory. Two days later, the tablet issued a card error notification upon turning on, so I returned its native 32 GB card and decided to test the new 64 GB card in external storage mode. To my surprise, it was recognized as external storage but lasted only one day in this mode before failing completely due to a factory defect. In my memory, this is the first case of a Kingston card failure during the warranty period.

Video reviews

The Canvas React series of drives from Kingston is designed for tasks that require high performance: recording 4K video with a high bit rate, serial photo hunting, etc. And it doesn’t matter whether the flash drive is installed directly in the smartphone tray or through an adapter in the memory card slot on board other compatible devices.

Speed data

The American manufacturer promises a read speed of about 100 MB/s and a write speed of up to 80 MB/s. Numerous tests confirm his words. In fact, the discrepancies with the declared passport data are minimal and fluctuate within a couple of MB/s. For example, you can upload a 4 GB video to a flash drive in less than 1 minute.

Guarantee of high-quality results

The UHS-I U3 and V30 "tattoos" on the "body" of the drive clearly hint at the model's sharpening for video shooting. Cards with such designations guarantee a minimum stable data exchange rate of at least 30 MB/s. In addition, the flash drive quickly operates mobile applications, for which it has been assigned the corresponding A1 class.

Safety margin

The Kingston microSDXC Canvas React case has an increased mechanical strength reserve. It is not afraid of swimming in water (at a depth of up to 1 m for half an hour), X-ray radiation at airports, shocks and vibrations. According to the last two columns, the flash drive even passed the strength test according to the American military standard MIL-STD-883H. In addition, the manufacturer is so confident in the reliability of its brainchild that it was not afraid to provide a lifetime warranty for the product, albeit limited.
